The fact that he was the plan B is ridic. Willing to bet $$ he outplays every ranking or where he's drafted, similar to Kyren.

An embarrassment of riches.
Yep. New Jersey player of the year. Looks like a grown-ass man and he just got here. Gonna be a ballplayer.

This might not mean anything other than he is strong but holy smokes this running back room is a fucking beast!
The 4 Horseman running back room:
1) Love
2) Price
3) Williams
4) James

This team has great depth.

You left off payne who shouldn't be forgotten
(Then imagine kedron) Lol
For this season I would put Kedron #4 on this if he wasn't injured. What I really appreciate about Payne is him being bought in (like many others on this team) with is role on the team. He probably would've had a better career at IU, but he has stuck it out at ND.

RB room is going to be just fine.
The depth seems very strong on paper. Just a matter of finding the right roles for the right guys. Hoping the sum of the parts can be close to equaling the production we had a year ago with the two best back in the nation.

Should definitely be a balanced attack with this stable of backs and CJ Carr leading the way.

While it was more talented in '25, I think '26 might actually put up better numbers because I believe the OL is going to be dominate as well is Carr and the passing game will as well.

Don't think teams will be loading the box like they have the last few seasons because of Carr the weapons that he should have let alone a monster defense that should them in good offensive position.

I think we will have more total yards than last year. Big uptick in passing. Run game will be 90%ish imo. Won't have the homeruns which will hurt. But the OL will be better and we will see a lot of USC type boxes. Death by 6-15 yard runs

This is last year's stat line for Rushing... If they put up better numbers than this (in 12 games) I will be extremely surprised.

ND was 8th in Rush Explosiveness. A guarantee that will go down. They were 25th in Rush Success. I suppose that could improve given the explanation above but I would be skeptical. 11th overall in Rush PPA.

What constitutes both? Rush explosion 15+? And rush success is an interesting stat that seems can be very subjective.

The whole point is for it to be objective lol.

Rush Explosiveness I’m not sure the exact calculation but it’s usually something like when the rush is successful, how successful is it. It’s not exactly is it 10 yards or 20 yards etc.

Rush Success: “A play is considered successful if it:
  • Results in a touchdown
  • Gains ≥50% of yards needed on 1st down
  • Gains ≥70% of yards needed on 2nd down
  • Gains 100% of yards needed on 3rd/4th down”

at least on CFBData.com but most places are similar
