Not sure about Jared Goff 2.0. Mendoza has an internal drive that may be unmatched by any recent QB coming out of CFB, other than maybe Stetson Bennett, but somehow, Bennett fell apart after getting what he was striving for with GA and had a mental breakdown. I don't see that happening to Mendoza, but who knows how far this inner drive will take him in the NFL. Will his lack of 5-star QB abilities catch up with him in the much faster NFL? Or, will he once again exceed expectations? A story to still be told.

He is significantly worse as a 2⭐ composite guy, Maye was a top 50 player and Darnold was in the top 150 after only playing "extensively" at QB for his Sr season. Coming into the NFL both guys were definitely graded higher and would be 1 and 2 in this Draft.

As a Browns fan, I’m so unbelievably happy they didn’t end up with the #1 pick in a draft where Mendoza is the only option. He’s built in a lab to be the next QB bust.

Miami beat us in the trenches last season... They can get all the skill they wish, but you don't simply replace what they lost on both sides of the ball in the trenches. Correct me if I am wrong, but they lose four out of five OL and three out of four DL.

Correct, but their DL was deep and guys like Marquise Lightfoot and Justin Scott would have started for a lot of teams. Their DL will still be good. OL is the question mark. They've recruited well but they're inexperienced.
