One of the best parts about this portal class is it really softens the blow for the departures in 2027. If ND went their usual route from the past of just grad transfers, woof, ND could be losing something like 14 or 15 starters next year. Now, you have a scenario where you return your top offensive contributors in Graham, Porter, Williams, and Carr (🤞) are all returning while also returning 4 of your top 5 contributors on the DL.

With how recruiting is going, there shouldn't be much drop '26 to '27 off especially if Carr returns.

If Carr doesn’t return we’ll portal a mercenary like normal. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’ll take our LBs against anyone in the country, and if you put them behind the DL my goodness. IDK if we’ll give up a rushing yard in 2026.
Can't forget our secondary give them all more time to get the the QB

Brewu is a far better player with Gray next to him. 1+1 = 3 here.
Think about how much better a guy like that, who commands a double team constantly, makes guys like Drayk, Kingston, Jaiden, Jaylen and Madden. When you're a linebacker that doesn't have a guard or center working up to you immediately every snap because they're preoccupied with the front... That makes your job soooo much easier in the run game.

It's a pretty helpless feeling as an OC when you need to dedicate extra resources to defend against the defensive front and their linebackers can trigger and fill without have to block destruct or scrape over the top.

I still want Onye. Onye, Gray, Brewu, Hughes, Mukam and Mullins/Burgess is a really nice 3 deep. Who would have thought, ND could have considerable talent and depth at both DT and WR!

I’m not even exaggerating. I am literally looking into where I’m staying on the strip January 22-26, 2027
I would like to look into where the team can stay far far away from the LV strip. Kingman Arizona is a doable drive.

That would be silly, there are plenty of nice off strip hotels for them to stay at. Can't add 2 hour travel time before games

St. Joe county winter storm warning through 1 pm Thursday. Might be tough for him to get here.
