He's from the St Louis area.
Well, there you go. As I said, they all have their reasons for considering various schools.

Let's hope he chooses the superior school over the local school, lol

Agree. Three schools tells me his focus is 100% on himself.
I just think it would be a bad look to pull the rug on Williams and others after they likely did some sweet talking to get him to stay. If a guy stays the course and flashes, he should get a chance to be the dude. Especially if a portal add would cost $3 mill.

Now that it's official, I'm getting some tea and will share it. I was told by my buddy, he was so tight lipped with me because he knows I'm "deep on those ND black ops underground websites" and he said "I was the last ND fan he could tell".

When JH left UM, it was with the intent of going to ND. He immediately got an offer from GT for 3, which he did use as leverage with ND. ND made a strong offer to him, but GT was definitely more. It came down to proximity to family, Tech bringing in resources (not sure what this could be) to prepare him for the NFL and build the offense around him. All things that ND couldn't guarantee because of the young QB, new depth at WR and current RB room.

Long story short it was only between ND and Tech (OSU was never an option), with JH truly wanting to go to ND. They also pushed Championship contender big time, so they really may be all in for 2026. But money, gameplan, and proximity to home ultimately won out.

I get it, but I'm old enough to see that having a bunch of money at home around all your friends and family you grew up with can be a very bad thing.

He's going to dice ACC defenses.

We don’t need him, even though it would’ve been nice.

That's interesting , im surprised we haven't heard other RB names surface if we were willing to make a big offer to Hayes. I think we are underestimating how much of a drop we are going to see in RB talent, and how that is going to really limit our offense, unless Osborne is ready to be a bigtime contributor.

I'm super exicted for Brewu but we were really missing a big MF that can eat up blocks (and then some). Huge pickup assuming it goes through.
Gray is bigger than Terrance Cody...who I was always wished ND could have a monster like that in the middle. Got a little taste with Big Lou rip!

If they land Gray, they’ll effectively landed 4 backups from this season. Backups to Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, LT Overton and A’Mauri Washington. All are potential first - second round picks and 2 returning next year

Yeah, I was kinda surprised to see Washington return. But him and Bear returning basically did it for Gray.

It may end up being a similar situation if Onye is granted the waiver, but I think it'd be far more of a true rotation between Onye and Gray than it would at Oregon behind Washington and Bear.

Pretty awesome that this guy didn't go to the draft. I thought he'd played himself into a fringe 1st round pick.

Jason Onye is a nice piece to add along the interior DL, but I’d feel much better if it was Onye AND Gray. Gray is 6’6”, 340 pounds. I think that’s about 30 pounds heavier than Mills.

If they can add Gray, I’ll be giggling like a child.
