Next?

The US President has been demanding he be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and the actual winner is willing to just give it to him. FIFA literally created a peace award because the US President has demanded he receive one.

Go on about how much you care about participation trophies ruining everything, though

edit - Also, more than a few trans men want to and have served honorably in the US military. iS tHaT wEiRd To YoU?
Always figured you were a lefty
you probably thought Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize just for being black
which is the whole reason he got it by the way
Take it to the politics thread gents.

I generally haven't been big on pulling for IU this year. I hope they beat the dog snot out of Miami on their home field. As Florida team fans tend to do when they are good, UM fans are delusionally and obnoxiously arrogant right now.

If this is true - "Experts are beginning to worry of a blowout in the Indiana vs. Miami game" - that's kind of strange. Makes me think the game result will actually be the opposite.

Exactly, I'm torn right now on taking the points with Miami again, but Indiana seems to be a team of destiny too.

I think Miami just makes too many mistakes to win this game. They are far from perfect, and when they are on they can be the best team in the country, but they almost always leave points on the field (like they did against Ole Miss).

If Miami wins its because they dominate the trenches. Indiana wont beat themselves. I'm with you, Indiana will probably win.

That is a weird take. Miami definitely has more talent at some key positions, including both lines and WR. Indiana is older and probably better coached. But on pure talent Miami would be the favorite here.

Miami has Toney, but IU has Becker, Cooper, and Sarratt who are all pretty damn good. I do think the lines would favor Miami, as long as they play like they can (last game was poor on both sides for what they are capable of), but IU's lines have also held up to the challenge of the playoffs and then some.

It’s just one metric but in the 247 composite team talent rankings (which looks like it includes transfers, Miami is #15, Indiana is #72.

And (to make an obvious point) how did Bama, OSU, and Oregon compare to IU? Or for that matter, how did Illinois or UCLA or PSU or Iowa compare to IU?

Obviously IU is a very good football team. They are well-coached, physically mature, smart and tough. But the notion this guy was spouting that Miami (and all those others) lacks the raw talent to compete with them is just not the case.

Which doesn’t mean Miami will or should win. This season is turning into the ultimate test of the “stars matter” approach to judging college football teams. Which is really interesting!

After surviving Pitt with a missed PAT and stopping Stanford at the goal line in 2012, I thought our Irish were a team of destiny.

IU has already went up against teams with better talent and beat them. The age difference is a huge advantage for IU.

The age difference is going to catch up to IU eventually. Cignetti figured it out faster than anyone else, but the cat is out of the bag. Some teams will beat them at their own game. Some teams, like what ND looks to be doing, are going to counter it by bringing in top high school players, KEEPING and DEVELOPING the best ones and replacing those that don't with better experienced transfers.

It has to. There aren't that many 22-24 year old guys available in the portal. He still has a lot of older JMU guys on the team that are gone after Monday. That's why I've said next year will tell us what kind of a coach Cignetti is.

The simple fact that UGA/TCU only happened a few years ago should get this dude banned from social media.

"experts" genuinely believe this will be a bigger blowout than UGA/TCU? What sort of crack are these people smoking?

*EDIT* saw that this apparently is a repeated troll job by this guy, nevermind

What position group of IU would you have traded NDs group for this year?

1. WR
2. DL
....
QB = no shot
RB = lol
OL = maybe? but I feel like it's a wash
DB = no shot
LB = no

ND was the team that beats Indiana. 2025 will live rent free in my head until we win a championship...please let it be 2026.
