Well, looks like I'm either an Oregon fan or...an Indiana fan for the final. Just disgusting, can't believe what Miami got away with at the end.

Looks like Miami WAS the right choice for the playoffs
As was the team that lost to them by three in Miami with a quarterback playing basically his first college game.
What I take from Miami making the title game is that we also were quite capable of making the title game, unlike, say, Bama or Oklahoma who were never getting past the second round.

You forgot last night was also a neutral field

If I hear 1 more person say “the committee got it right putting Miami in instead of ND” I’ll lose my mind. First, we have no idea what ND wouldve done and congrats to Miami for making the most of their opportunity. Second, it was never about ND vs Miami, at least it shouldn’t have been. That was the BS narrative that ESPN put out there to keep their precious Bama in. What a joke that ended up being.

All the intraconference rematches that they’ve historically tried to avoid to ensure at least 1 team makes the semis is all you need to see to know it was a true SEC conspiracy by the committee this year.

I really don’t see any SEC schools being that great for the foreseeable future outside of maybe GA.
Agree but they'll still have five teams in the playoffs again next year, maybe more if it expands.
The Big Ten is top-heavy, the ACC - beyond Miami - blows, and Texas Tech looks poised to just dominate the Big 12 for the foreseeable future. Who else, besides us, poses any real threat to crash their party?

Charlie Jr called some great games down the stretch, I'm sure the bridge is burned but when MD retires he'd be my first call.
I can't see that dude ever coming back to South Bend. The ND community absolutely demolished his dad. Even if they mentioned bringing him back, we'd be right at it again, only this time we'd be demolishing him too.

I'll be at the Peach Bowl tonight (Buddy gets corporate tickets and can't sell them) if the game is even a fraction as good as last night it will be worth the Downtown Atlanta hassle. But can't wait to see what this IU team looks like in person.

This has probably been mentioned earlier in this thread, but: I watched about three quarters of the game, mainly to watch Bain play. I've never seen him look so slow and lacking in explosiveness or energy. He seemed even to quit on many plays. Have any of you heard if he was sick, or maybe so other weird thing was going on. ONE tackle for the game. Strange. I felt that if this was a normal Bain Game this would not have been at all in doubt. (Booger McFarland is also taking some flack for criticizing Bain during the game, so I think I'm not alone in my observation.) AND ... I did NOT think the Ole Miss offense particularly played heavy towards him at all.
