I think Denbrock is better schematically, but Partridge is better for player development. He's simply one of the best in the business when it comes to developing arguably the most important position group minus perhaps OL and QB.

With the possible exceptions of Mike Brown and Chris Ash, every assistant hire we've made since the Andy Ludwig/Gerard Parker Fiasco has been big-time. Denbrock, Seider, now Partridge. Not to mention keeping the good ones we have in-house. Not messing around in the staffing department anymore.

Agreed. I'm not going to hold them up against each other in terms of who does his job better than the other. Snagging Denbrock was a massive hire. Seider and Partridge have both been significant ones as well.

Ash, while underwhelming at the time, has proven to be pretty solid and his connection ultimately yields Partridge. All good things.

Damn, this seems like a home run hire. I don't follow coaches or who is highly regarded so I'm going to take everyone else's word that this guy was a great addition to the staff.

Some people would have nothing at all to say if they couldn't bitch. I think we underestimate how impacted by every minute aspect of ND football some people's lives are... No judgement :)

must have missed Washington getting canned? Oh wait

Unless we land a few studs in the portal the cupboard is too thin in 26 no matter how good a DL coach he is. It’s hard to offset Al’s such poor recruiting until 26 class.

I feel like ND focused on coaches and staff (Partridge, Sanders, Bryant) at the expense of the portal. I love the guys they brought in, and I’m amazed they were able to announce them so quickly. But damn…can’t we do both??? 🤣

A National Championship. :p He did say that NDwas the only college program he was interested in and he had been contacted by several. He said the organization is run extremely well like an NFL franchise and he loves Coach Free. Him and Ash are college teammates and great friends. That was the other reason.

ND is getting outspent. It's not a lack of effort. Cuban gave IU whatever they needed to get the guys Cig wanted.
