Which is a credits thing not a grades thing. Those are not the same thing
Correct. ND credits very little for undergrads, full stop...now mix in someone with questionable grades to begin with a clearly fake football factory....

I predict KK Smith goes to North Texas. He's from Frisco, which is a stone's throw away from Denton.

Maybe Neal Brown keeps the Air Raid.

Seems like a guy like KK can do wonders in that system.

Was he? Faison is still Faison, actually with spring practice this year. I mean he could but I would say most likely barring injury it was gonna be the same with Burress and others providing pressure this time around. Would have been good depth to keep, but I don’t see a 2026 role that wasn’t there in 2025

They way our players are getting hurt he is literally that close to getting a lot of playing time.

A little bit bummed about KK Smith. I thought he had the clearest path to #2 reps at the Field spot behind Faison. Mostly bummed because I feel like KK was one of the few options ND had on their roster to routinely get open over top of the defense. Thought he could be a Chris Brown type who Denbrock could dial up deep shots too.

Enter Elijah Burress, who plays a similar game to that of Jordan Faison, which will help with continuity at the position when substituting, but will also hurt variety.

Overall, I'd say KK is a loss, but certainly not an irreplaceable one! Adding a guy like Townsend makes a lot of practical sense now!

O’Malley hinted Mylan Graham may be a target
On the very low chance this happens, we will know ND is truly all in and that admissions has definitely started making some exceptions for transfers.

I’m checking with my sources now, but may not know anything until Wednesday.

Even if it’s not mylan Graham, I think they should pair the staring boundary (like Strong) with someone that can stretch the field but isn’t an every down player.

is Canion still against going far from home?
I'd definitely offer something approximating the Rev Share / NIL you were going to offer Marsh and say "here you, you can rent a place in South Bend for you and your mom for the next two years. We'll bring 'home' to you."

Perused the elevenwarriors comments about Graham hitting the portal.

Most were sad to see him go.

Common themes in the posts:
He was underutilized and that it was perplexing that a walk-on WR got more snaps this year than Graham
Stacked WR room meant he would probably be WR4 (at best) next year
Bad blocker

Hoping we’re quietly making a play for Canion, WR at GT. No reason to believe this is happening, but he’s been on campus and obviously committed to Freeman in the past. So if the $ is right, can lock it up without the publicity of getting him on campus.

Would prefer him over Rutgers WR.

From today's ISD Power Hour:

-They're not hitting the panic button, but Mike Frank and Jamie aren't thrilled with ND's decision to not have visitors over the weekend. They feel they miscalculated and were caught off guard. Unlike with recruiting, you want the first visit.
-ND wanted both Marsh and Williams, there's no making excuses.
-They feel that with the team they have returning and with CJ Carr as the QB, ND should go all-in, even if it's an overpay to get their top guys. Mike said even if Marsh wanted $2 Million, even though that's an overpay, that's something he would do.
-They think ND needs only 1 WR, provided it's not Townsend

They weighed in on the following players:
Jalen Thompson: Jamie thinks he's close to JJB and is starting caliber
Xavier Gilliam: Jamie thinks he's intriguing and has a lot of room to grow, played pretty well in the bowl game that he watched. Not sure if he's going to walk in and start, but he could be a starter. Most important guy among the 3 DT's for Jamie because he has 3 years left and he has a lot of potential.
Horace Lockett: Hasn't played much, but Jamie felt he played really good last year. He could be the starting Nose right away and is the type of body that they need.
Brody Foley: They really like him
Xavier Townsend: Notch below Will Pauling
Is it not acceptable to just not win a recruitment? We wanted those two they didn't want to be here or we weren't willing to pay.

I will trust us sticking to our model.

Really easy for some middle aged TMQB to say what he would do with someone else's money with no regard to any full impact analysis completed. I doubt Mike gives too much thought to the other 90 kids on the roster after he gives away NDs $2m to Marsh.

Valid, but when ISD is questioning things that’s usually a problem. They hardly ever question the staff.

The entire beat has been questioning the staff since minchey/carr at the latest and far before that.

Awesome. Looks like

Tuesday — Penn State DT Xavier Gilliam
Monday — Central Florida DT Horace Lockett
Tuesday — Michigan State DE Jalen Thompson
Monday — Wake Forest DT Mateen Igirogba
Monday — Iowa State WR Xavier Townsend
This week — Rutgers WR Ian Strong
Monday — Tulsa TE Brody Foley

If we pulled Foley, Strong, and 2 DTs from that group we would have nothing much to complain about.
Why kind of psychopath order did you put these in.

Making my brain work overtime.

Thanks for sharing the details.

Obviously he doesn't have much college tape or production but Graham looks like he could be a really good player. Definitely a higher ceiling than Marsh, Strong, or Canion.

-Chaz Coleman - I don't believe anything scheduled an reports are his top 3 are Tenn, LSU, OSU
-Jasper Scaife - committed to ND
-Brody Foley - visiting Monday
-Xavier Gilliam - scheduled visit tomorrow
