Problem w/ SEC & B1G is that they’re so big that if the right team (even a blueblood like OSU) gets the schedule to break their way & doesn’t play any competitive OOC games, there’s going to be more untested teams in the CFP that get “upset” after being favored. And then w/ a conference like the B12 who doesn’t play any tough OOC games, it’s not that far away from a really good G5 team so again…when did they get their mettle tested to see if they are ready for the big leagues?

Right, the issue is primarily that the seeds are way off. Last year you had Boise State as the #3 seed and Arizona State as the #4 seed. Then you had eventual national champ Ohio State win, and you had ND beat Georgia.

Then this year the Miami game is the only one that is an upset. Oregon was favored. So it's really only one "anomaly" style game for Miami ove
Exactly. And even that, the Miami win wasnt Surprising. They have been playing well and their D shutting down the OSU O shouldn't have surprised many.

I have said all along, and this just highlighted it, I think ND, Miami, and A&M were the best teams this season. I still think that. Just bad luck we had the other two right off the bat.

It's crazy to think of the chain of events that had to happen to keep us out this year.
It all starts with these conferences being too fucking big where no one plays anyone anymore.

Fucking preach! Couldn’t give two shits about the Ducks but Joey McGuire going out of his way to take shots at ND make me a Ducks fan today. So glad Lanning rammed it down their throat for that last unnecessary TD. Too bad Dave Fleming wasn’t in the booth to cry about Oregon running up the score. Bitch.
I totally forgot about that but I’m glad he got whooped. Also should shut up all the BYU trolls in my @s on the X.

The secret to getting 2nd in conference is to play the bottom half. Bonus if the their best opponents barely beat a top 50 team.

Indiana having a first and ten from the like 12 and running into the gut of Bama’s defense three plays in a row says a lot about their fraudulent Heisman qb.
I really don't think IU is that good. And we just saw OSU (they're biggest win) isn't as good as we were told. Don't be surprised if Indiana doesn't reach 20.

Says a lot about what they think of their OL vs the Bama DL, too.
