If the timeline from the article comes to fruition, he wouldn't be back until roughly Louisville on 2/4/26
Yeah, that seems more likely. Young bones do heal quickly!
I'm sure he has pro aspirations as well, so he may not want to rush it as well.

Sadly if that is the timeline it is going to be tough to have enough scoring and ball handling to keep our record above water for a fighting chance at bubble watching come March, but who knows!

Excited to see what he can do. He actually looks legit.
Small like Burton so he may struggle right away but he has a beautiful shot and plays stickem defense.
Really don’t expect him to do much this year but if he can stick out the, two-sport-athlete, he could be a good one.

I do remember rumors, back when he committed, that he could play offense, defense and maybe basketball. Obviously paraphrasing but one of the analysts called it.

This was big , I’d seen nothing to suggest he would be someone to count on for any significant minutes.
Agreed.
I don’t like to be a pessimist, but I honestly thought his ND career might be on life support after his soft bending the last few games.

Great to see him show some big time talent today, and hopefully it continues into conference play.
The team needs him to step up big time either Markus out.

I thought the offense had better flow yesterday than in games past.
Indeed, players are standing around less waiting for Burton to do something……it’s forcing the fellas to get better movement going on offense.

I like Mohammed and Haralson bringing the ball up with Burton being out.

Call me crazy, but I think this team can win some games without Burton.
They already have. I’d say we’ll be in the top half of the league but I haven’t watched anyone but us so far so don’t really know.

They are really going to benefit from the ACC schedule this year too. Double up against BC and Stanford. Home against a lot of the mid standings teams. Only games I’d be ready to chock up as a probable loss are Duke, @Louisville, and @UNC.

We will see if they can continue to deliver the goods without Burton but I really feel like they can be a last 4 in team if they get to 11-7 in conference and can win a couple games in the ACC tourney.
They're going to get tested early on in that conference slate. Stanford 8-2, Cal 10-1 (although neither have played a lot of touch competition, Cal does have a couple of nice wins against UCLA and Utah), Clemson, Miami and VT as well to open the ACC. The later 4 are getting some top 25 noise in the votes columns in the polls.

Good opportunity to solidify ourselves as threats in the ACC come January.

It's definitely about to get more difficult. I think I had this team winning 15-17 games this year. I may be wrong and I'm ok with that.

Happens a lot. 🤣

Live by the three die by the three. 7-27. Hit a couple more and we win. Certa 1-7. Has to be better as we really don’t have a third option besides him and Shrews. Imes did a good job on defense but he shouldn’t be launching a lot of threes

Been 20+ years now since I hung banners in FW, IPFW (PFW now) was always stat day. Maybe things have changed but I doubt it.
That's a PFW that beat the Boyce College juggernaut by 50 points. Not sure how you can expect us to do much more than we did today.

Who the fuck is this team? What a bunch of losers. This is up there with losing to Northern Illinois
A poorly coached, inconsistent team with injury problems year in and year out. Let's squash the basketball program and stick the money into football. Please??? 🤣

I attended this game today.

Not only was this a bad loss, this was bad product on the court.

Their transition offense is horrible, drive to the court to draw a foul, draw a double team, they stopped every time.

I don't recall them leading at all in the game.

Even my wife commented that this was the most boring Notre Dame event she's attented.

Haralson is not a one-done, he is definitely not NBA ready.

If not now for Coach Shrews, when?
