I doubt Grubbs is worried he can’t beat Teddy. Teddy is a consensus 3 star and while Grubbs is a 3 star on 24/7, his composite just gets him to 4 star (89.7).

The natural self belief someone has plus seeing Teddy as a 3 star probably doesn’t intimidate him.
Teddy is now a 4* close to 91 (90.9) and #241 NAT in the '26 class.

The staff disagrees
Now we have 2 guys who have to sit 2 years behind Carr. In today’s world, both could leave to get paid before Carr is done. If Jarrard remained 2027, he’d be only 1 year behind Carr. If Carr leaves after 2026 season, this discussion a moot.

Obviously the staff disagrees. I still think it’s a mistake.

Both Grubbs & Jarrard get to learn from Carr and Hebert gets another year to learn from Carr.

Having kids compete and letting the best win the job is never a terrible idea. Let the cream rise to the top
Grubbs is wildly inaccurate, not a tremendous athlete and for as good as he performed in the Playoffs he also threw a slew of interceptions including 3 in the Championship game.

27 draft could be loaded too. Not saying he isnt as good as them, but could want to leave no doubt for 28 draft
Great point. If Moore and Simpson stay another year (imo they both should stay in school) 27 will be very crowded especially if Sayin declares.

Which other 27 QB's have offers?

I have no idea which QB in the room will pan out, but I love that we get to chase another QB in 27.

I honestly think Carr NFL upside> Sayin. But next year you could be looking at Manning (say what you want about him now, his name will garner buzz), Sayin, Sellers, Bama QB, maybe Dante Moore, and numerous other qbs that are mid imo

I wonder with the NIL money now what the rush is to get to the NFL. I get the whole "a year closer to your second deal" but some of these guys have to be looking at the 2025 class and being like "yoooooo"

Israel Abrams has very solid rankings but not the offer list necessarily to match it. If ND offered I’d have to imagine they’d be the team to beat for a variety of reasons.

Do you know this or have you just read his completion percentage?
It's 2025, 80% of his games are available to watch and yes, it's not many QBs spinning the ball like a PRIME ARod hovering in the 50's for completion % regardless of their personnel.

So you watched his full games? That answer is ambiguous

3 full games and more than plenty of passing plays...that answer was just factual. How many accurate throwers do you see throw in the 50's at ANY level? What have you seen from him that's shown he isn't inaccurate?

Have you watched any of his games or just the highlights?

I was legitimately asking because as you can check in the Grubbs thread below I asked the question on where his completion percentage issues come from weeks ago. You keep giving ambiguous answers that lack any real information unless I pull teeth like I am currently doing. So how is he wildly inaccurate? Deep throws? Short? Across the middle? When pressured/on the run? Any pattern?
