The bowls have lost so much luster unless you’re in desperate need for practice or to get some guys who will be potentially starting the next season some game experience it’s not worth it. In 2023 when Angeli might’ve been the starter for 2024 we needed that sun bowl to get him some game experience. This year it’s more an injury risk than anything else. It’s also not like the BCS/NY6 days where there were still bowl games that felt like they had some shine on them. If you aren’t in the playoffs you’re in the mayo or pop tart bowls. Not really something that seems worth it comparing the risk/reward.After last season are we sure 15 games means much? The team is likely banged up. Risk further injuries. No EE practicing anymore. All for a meaningless game with pro opt outs. Hell I don’t even think I would’ve played Carr, Moore, and starting OL this game. Only risk injuries going into next season. Not like they can still get together and watch film work on strength and technique without pads.
