Players voted apparently. Good for them
There are most likely penalties involved with that and it is unfair to the other team who preps/prepares. We don't need to disrespect other teams, this was the best possible way to do that.Like I said elsewhere, I would have enjoyed it more if they accepted, used the practices, and then no-showed.
- These rankings just revealed the playoff is not about metrics, not about resume, not about head to head, none of it. It is a room full of business partners who decide how to allocate money.
- The loser of the SEC (or B1G) Championship game will NEVER receive a punishment that is anything but cosmetic.
- None of the P5 conferences will EVER get left out of a CFP.
- The week to week rankings and show DO NOT MATTER.
- Given the above, ND needs to seriously reconsider Independence. You cannot continue to play a rigged game.
We don't need sixteen. Need the committee to do a better job.
Fuck espn fuck you bs bowl game

I don't want this to turn into a political thing, but I will say I wouldn't mind them pulling a Trump administration move and banning ESPN, the SECN, ACCN, and the ACC administrators from campus, revoking their credentials, and ignoring questions at away games. Refuse the on-field interviews. Put out a general statement before the season that they are not objective reporters and we have no interest in engaging with them, and this is a consequence of the bed they made over the past 3 weeks.Looks like we're headed for a full blown villain arc in 2026.
I know it's not the same, but this is basically a carbon copy of what happened to the lacrosse team a few years ago. They were clearly the #2 or at worst the #3 best team in the country. They had a couple early season losses, but blew out everyone over the latter part of the season. An extremely biased selection committee left them entirely out of the field when most thought they would be hosting a 1st round game.Looks like we're headed for a full blown villain arc in 2026.
You either gotta have 16 or you need a "floor" for AQ inclusion. No one outside the top 20 deserves a charity spot.If auto bids and G5 teams are gonna also be incorporated into a CFP format, then yes, we’re gonna need a field of 16.
That written into the bylaws starting next year is that if ND is in the Top 12 of the rankings they cannot get bumped for a lower ranked AQ (instead they will bump another at-large).
This means nothing. Committee just dropped us from 9 to 11 for no reason. They will just stick us at 13 or whatever if they want us out.Wait so am I understanding this correctly? If ND finishes ranked 12th, you could have a scenario where:
12. g5 champion
11. B12 champion
10. ACC champion
9. At large ND despite being 12?
Crazy work by ND if I’m understanding that right

11/07 - Miami (FL)Assuming nothing massively crazy happens Wisconsin might die next September
Good. ESPN can get fucked.
Yeah, but ESPN wanted us badly
