You know, I always thought your guys' fear and dislike of ESPN was overblown. This is the first year I realize that they are not being honest in their analysis, just trying to sway for financial purposes. Really disgusting. If there was a way to prove it, there should be a massive lawsuit. But I guess they can say what they want on their network. All other mainstream media has gone to crap nowadays, why not ESPN. I miss the days of honest reporting. Dang, when did I get old? lol

Now that I am boycotting ESPN, can anyone recommend a place to go for sports news, podcasts, and analysis that isn't an SEC shill?

I am old enough to appreciate your avatar. I thought she was smoking hot back in the day.

Edit: Sorry for derailing the thread. Back on topic. The SEC sucks. It should be..

6. A&M
7. ND
8. Miami
9. Ole Miss
10. OK/Vandy/Texas/Bama (This is honestly where the debate should be for the last spot)

Totally agree with your 10 line, those SEC teams are all mid. Ole Miss v Miami has a nice shine to it.

MORNING COFFEE ODDS UPDATE BROUGHT TO YOU BY EVILLEIRISH:
-Bama worst odds ever at -280
-Miami at +145
-ND at -1000
-Duke +1800

Miami odds up, ND/Bama odds slightly down after UVA loss. ACC pity party???

If the committee actually watches the games like we've seen/heard, Bama should be out. If that game were not a CCG, they could drop by 5 or something. The game was not competitive. To drop out (to 11) they only need to drop 2 spots. So in that scenario, the committee would still be putting less weight on a CCG loss than a regular season loss. To not take account of the loss -and the manner of the loss- would be bizarre. But moving Bama up last week was bizarre, too.

And if Duke winning means Miami gets in over ND, as a gesture toward the ACC, it's absolutely time to leave the conference. Our association is actively harming ND athletics.

Can someone explain the odds. Is a higher negative number good? I have never bet money on anything. Lol

ND should be the 7 by virtue of:

-we didn't really lose the A&M game, the refs cheated

-Bama and Oklahoma are hot trash

-Miami needed a miracle catch to beat us, and they couldn't win a league that was just won by a 5 loss team

I can cash out 3x my Tuesday bet of Miami +600. Should I leave it for the reverse jinx or take the money?

Negative is how many dollars you need to bet to win $100. and -1000 means you need to bet $1000 to net $1100.

What ever happened to this important 13th datapoint of CCGs to excuse playing one (and often two) FCS directional community colleges? Bama is 1-2 vs FBS teams in the four week.

Indiana had two weeks to prep for OSU while OSU was 110% set on the Michigan albatross. CFP comes at you fast - I’m not convinced Indy can put three in a row together but whoever gets their first game likely gets their best shot IMO.

People need to stop reading the name on the jersey and realize IU is for real. I said it all over this thread and nobody believed me. Cig is going to have that team so fired up for redemption against us in the Rose Bowl, it’s not even funny

I still think they are in over Bama - lines are driven by the action to a certain extent and we see how paranoid everyone in CFB is on SEC bias. Miami vs ND rematch would be a bigger and more competitive game than anything involving Bama and $$ 100% advantages ND from the drop. These aren’t irrational fanboys behind the doors - biased advocates for their cause but they all know ND is a golden goose.
