I think they’ll fuck us.
Everyone saw what happened last week after Bama's gutsy win. Yesterday was the gutsiest loss I've seen in an SECCG in awhile. Seriously, it's entirely possible given the committee's behavior. They have only moved SEC teams up after looking bad in wins; they didn't move us up after beating Pitt, Syracuse, and Stanford handily; and there is a sustained media campaign (although not on Fox) to keep us out. Having said all that, though, I'd still be a little surprised based on what Heather Dinich has said + vegas odds + the fact they haven't already moved Miami ahead of us.

I’ll say
9. Miami
10. Bama
11. ND

I just don’t see them leaving out a bubble Bama team two years in a row and the ACC will want at least one team. Dumb reasons of course but it is CFB.
Sad to say, but I agree that Miami and Bama will be in (not sure on the order) and that we'll be left out. I think people who expect that Bama will drop out are going to be in for a very rude awakening and they'll give in on H2H. It's stupid, but I just don't trust this committee. I'm much more confident on Bama staying in than Miami jumping is, though.

You can't be serious
I have zero faith in this committee to leave out the #1 seed in the SEC and anyone from the ACC. I also think a lot of people weren’t happy at the money ND made last year in the playoff and the fact they didn’t have to share it.

This. Also, they already moved Bama up after looking bad last week, and then came up with a bizarre, embarrassing justification that made no sense. It's clear they will do crazy stuff to protect Bama.

ND is in with 95% confidence according to every book, ESPN’s playoff predictor, and if you do a round up of every mock journalist. If ND is left out at this point it’s the most controversial outcome that can occur of the 3 scenarios by a WIDE margin

Dude I’m sorry but you have no clue. They aren’t leaving ND out simple as that.

You should put $100 on that on DraftKings. You’d make a lot of money.

Would be great but I'll just take a place at the table at this point. Bright side of a road game is I'm not dropping a grand to attend the game lol
Last year I took two of my kids and my dad to the Indiana game. I think the weekend cost me 10k because flights were ridiculous but it was worth every red sent. We all got norovirus and threw up all the way home but my dad still talks about how great that trip was

I think the committee knew what they were doing last week and were expecting ND and Bama to flip again, especially to avoid any rematch.

The way Bama played, the question is now does Miami movie to 10. I think Miami should be 10 and Bama 11
Miami and ND should both be in over Bama. If I’m being unbiased, I would rank the 2 loss teams like this:
8. Miami
9. ND
10. OU
Sorry, I’ve been pissed about the ‘93 season for 30+ years, I can’t now start arguing that H2H is meaningless. Oklahoma is mediocre.

Best atmosphere I’ve been a part of. Great memory for my son and I.

I would have no issue if Miami was ranked ahead of us from the beginning. But cannot understand a flip at this point

Bear thinks Miami should be the 9. Real shocker.

So two losses to a playoff team (A&M) and one being argued about is bad but two losses to SMU and Louisville are fine? More to the point : if FSU was sitting at at 10-3 off a CCG loss, do we really think they put them in over Alabama?

I have the easy answer for the committee: leave ND and Miami out and just put in Vanderbilt because…SEC. Hell, drop Ohio State out and put in Tennessee. The SEC deserves the chance to reinforce the narrative

I think if both teams were 11-1 I would agree on H2H but Miami lost to two average teams and I think that should factor. I would go:
8. ND
9. Miami
10. OU

That’s a really good point. If FSU lost the ACC championship by 21 while rushing for -4 and not scoring til the 4th so anyone really believe they’d be in the playoffs?

I agree they flipped us and Bama to protect Bama, but at some point Bama has to do its part. Instead they embarassed themselves. Protection only goes so far.

You guys really need to exhale, take a step back, and just relax. ND will beat Oklahoma in Norman in 2 weeks, then head to the Rose Bowl to face IU.

We don’t know anything right this minute. Indiana just beat OSU and is the #1 team in the country. Let that sit in for a few minutes.

They should drop Bama completely out.

Instead, I think they will do the laziest thing possible:

9) Bama
10) ND
11) BYU
12) Miami

Insert some bullshit about Alabama having previously beat Georgia and not wanting to punish teams for losing in an extra game, blah blah blah...
