If ND is out, I hope (I feel dirty for saying this) that OSU just destroys every SEC/ACC/Big12 team in the playoffs. I will also include IU in this as I can’t stand their arrogance.

Imagine being a person on the CFP with an ENTIRE Central Nervous System and potentially allowing yourself to be swayed by…Miami…their “media”…their “fanbase”…and their “conference.”

I’m not going to be dishonest and say that I don’t even want to be a part of that type of playoff…because I do…but man if we got left out of a playoff in this manner then we’ll serve as the catalyst for change in this whole deal while Miami gets their crap pushed in in the first round.

The committee talks out of both sides of their mouths, every week since their first rankings....then the contradict themselves when they go on TV an talk, and then will likely do the opposite of what they said they would do. They are politicians, and in charge of the fate of our favorite sport....and should be tried for treason and shot in front of a firing squad. Or.....and hear me out.....don't have a committee of politicians decide the fate of the 12 best teams in college. It's fucking retarded

If ND was in the ACC, their combined opponent win percentage is .4375.

This is the exact same percentage as Miami, which got them left out of the championship game. If you add NDs ACC record to Miami’s it’s still below Duke.

That’s how easy their schedule was.

I get Mario is a big meathead who probably took too many hits to the head, but does he not realize that half of our schedule came from his shitty conference and their only good win was over us so if he's undercutting our schedule he is by extension shitting on his own? Miami played us and then a pile of garbage and sill managed to lose 2 games. Fuck that guy and fuck the seemingly endless number of "journalists" who came from Miami who have spent a month whining about this.

Yep. If BYU loses, they bump Miami next to us, and then have their stupid head-to-head "reason" to bump us out for Miami. Them putting Bama in-front of us set this up. Bama losing means nothing, but BYU losing means everything. It's so obvious...regardless of what these fucking hillbilly SEC hacks say on television on Tuesday nights.

I’m with Boone. I think if they were gonna put Miami in over us, Miami would already be ahead of us. Miami is just noise. The problem would be if BYU beats TTU. But that has pretty much been the case for weeks.

At this point while I want us in because it’s better to make it than not make it. But I’ve accepted the fact that we might not. If we don’t let’s get a piece of that giant pop tart and next year hopefully we can start the season better and really make a run. I don’t follow the ins and outs of recruiting but from what y’all are saying it seems like next year we will still be in a good spot. Listening to all the playoff talking heads has reminded me why outside of talking ND football with yall Manga, Stand up comedy & Pro Wrestling are my go to things to consume.

I don’t want to join the ACC & lose our independence but outside of the Miami game we have beaten the ACC down so much this year and seem to have a good record against the ACC every year (besides 2016) I feel like if we did join the ACC we would have cases upon cases of ACC championship trophies.

One thing worth pointing out around the "last year's conference championship losers all dropped" narrative is that three of the games featured teams that didn't play each other during the regular season. In all of the ones that could conceivably affect ND this year (ACC, SEC, Big 12), the teams played during the regular season so I don't really know that it does a whole lot of enlightening if the results repeat themselves.

Guys it's a coordinated media blitz by stakeholders in the SEC/ACC to get Notre Dame out. None of this is particularly complicated. We have been consistently ranked #9 by the media, coaches, and computers (higher by some computers) and the reason for the "vibe shift" is strictly political. Accept it and move on.

The *only* weird thing is that ND is still -500 to be in. I say that's weird because Vegas knew WELL before the "vigorous debate" that Alabama was jumping us and was a lock. Like it absolutely leaked out well before Tuesday what was happening, that's how you know things are not above board.

I'm sorry I just don't get how a 3-loss 'bama makes it in if they lose to GA. At some point the season ends and again, what's really the purpose of the CCG game anyway? It's only helpful to teams in situations like Duke or I guess 'bama where it can catapault them into the CFP, but if they lose, I say that should have ramifications in the other direction as in, you're out!

We just need to get to a 16-team field and we definitely need to do something about scheduling as there are a lot of dogs on the schedule these days. As we all have noticed, the 2026 schedule is terrible.

ND needs to make some conference tie ups and namely with the Big10.

But remember, the committee says CCG's don't mean shit and "teams shouldn't be penalized for losing CCG's"...their words, not ours. So if BYU loses too...they stay in between us and Miami, or no?
