If ND was in the ACC, their combined opponent win percentage is .4375.
This is the exact same percentage as Miami, which got them left out of the championship game. If you add NDs ACC record to Miami’s it’s still below Duke.
That’s how easy their schedule was.
Exactly.
Who the hell did Miami play that he thinks “hurt” their offensive output numbers?
It’s pretty simple in regards to Miami and ND since their game in week 1:
1) All Miami had to do was not lose
twice. They had a gimme loss if they needed one because they beat ND. But they couldn’t even clear that low bar. And that’s without playing a single team better than Texas A&M, USC or hell, even Navy.
2) For ND to even have a sniff of the playoffs after starting 0-2, they not only had to win every game but they had to dominate. They have won 10 straight games by double digits with most over by halftime.
3) Notre Dame did what they had to do which was with no margin of error. Miami didn’t clear their low bar of just not losing to TWO unranked teams.
A season is not a week 1 game. There’s a reason why you play 12.
