Really disappointing to see how some fans responded on FB after this Buchner post by the ND media team. Tyler was hardly the first reason we lost that A&M game, but some people won't forget it, forgive it, or accept that the blame was not all on his shoulders. Tyler Buchner has given more to this university than any fan will, whether it's Lacrosse or Football.

Buchner was part of the reason for that loss but just don’t give up 41 points at home. The defense was far more the reason than the 1 point he was responsible for
Exactly. Buchner wasn't the one who allowed Reed to blindly chuck up passes for huge gains.

Sorry for stepping up on a soapbox here, BUT…I have nothing but respect for Tyler. BK has ruined better QB’s than him. Even though he never became the football player we had all hoped he would be, he is still a kid/very young man giving his best in some very difficult circumstances for the University he and we all love! He did a very difficult things that many young people’s egos would not allow them to do. These are the life lessons that sport teach, which in the end are infinitely more important than the outcomes, for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. I tip my hat to Tyler Buchner and appreciate very much the efforts and lessons (sometimes hard) that he allowed us all to learn or in some cases relearn vicariously. On probably the brightest and most difficult stage in college sport.
Take it all with you and show the world who We are! Love thee

The kid accepted he sucked as a QB came back as a holder won a NC in lacrosse and will have an ND degree when all is said and done.

Fucking A right dude congrats.
Yup, took a lot of humility to come back and essentially start at the bottom just to help the team anyway he could.
It's the Prodigal Son story in ND form, not sure how people can shit on one of our student athletes like that, some throwing death threats out after that game. People need to touch grass.

There's people like most of us here who have what could possibly be called an unhealthy obsession for Notre Dame, but it means we love everything it stands for at its core.

Almost everyone single one of whom are going to be your Alumni and subway alum.

Then there's the fans who wouldn't give a single fuck how ND did it as long as they win a NC. Even if it meant going away from everything ND stands for.

I have a theory where most facebook posters fall.

We're living in a very cunty timeline full of people who can do nothing but act cunty and feel grievance about anything and everything. Not enough fresh air and not enough books. Dumb, jackwagon shit birds with no joy and nothing better to do in their lives but be cunty.

Tyler Buchner is going to run multiple laps in life around the people who hide behind their computers and tear him down. They all suck.

I always liked TB12, bummer what happened in the A&M game...but like most have said...that game could be blamed on many. That hold wasn't to tie the game...the def let A&M march 70 yards in 2 min.

I'll always remember the wild ride he took us on against SC in Jacksonville. That was a fun night!

I’ve been an often negative poster wanting performance closer to perfection but I really liked Buchners change of pace season as. Freshman to Coan. It was always exciting to have him come in. He was a gritty QB and had his moments. I often get angry at the players during the game but I like Buchner and wish we had a short yardage package using him at QB.

Everytime I check this thread all anyone ever is talking about is Tyler Buchner
Ok ok...you got me...shouldn't post when im drinking in Punta Cana. Let me clarify...I meant all the hero stories about Buchner and how he can be used. Minchey is better overall at this point; otherwise we would have seen him more in packages in my opinion.
