False initial post. The article does not state Trump's family made billions. Yes, he pled guilty, but statements in the article reflect a "war on crypto". Do you have any more information or are you just calling "you people" a joke because you're emotional?

I'd be more upset about the douche Santos being pardoned. Not digging that pardon.

But let's not condemn Jay.
Information about what? The dude was guilty as fuck. Do you think Trump was pardoning him out of the goodness of his heart?

Yeah throw Santos on the pile. Despicable

Biden just had to look in the mirror to see how one would do this. We can do this all day.
Biden should have done it. Day one he should have had Trump being read his rights. Instead he put limp dick Merrick Garland in charge who dragged his feet until it was too late.

You mean like Day 0 when Obama had the NIE changed to reflect his and Brennan's unproven and false beliefs? Sabotaging a presidency before it started and robbing the country of a complete 4-year term.

Obama was the enemy of the people, in the entire history of the Espionage act, something like 11 or 12 people have been changed. 8 under his administration. Woof

Two of my friends dragged through the mud over his presidency for doing what was asked of them.

Who besides Manning and Snowden? Nobody. Trump had 2 in his first term.

This is actually a good idea (altho' never a good idea to get government involved in public companies) if the money were utilized correctly to actually help alleviate the large part of the U.S. population that will be dislocated by AI to get retrained to pivot their careers; unfortunately, Khosla didn't get the memo that any wealth generated from a government 10% stake in public companies would not be shared by Trump.

VC Vinod Khosla says the US government could take 10% stake in all public companies to soften the blow of AGI

I think Speaker Mike Johnson, in addressing the press yesterday, finally gave us a clue what the Trump 2028 plan and strategy is:

Johnson said in yesterday's press conference (https://youtu.be/oNfObpKD3iE?si=yZQFVqqEDMWwKj78):

"I do believe we have three extraordinary years ahead of us... And the two years of the Trump Administration are going to be an incredible thing."

You see the 22nd Amendment (Section 1) states:

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

There is nothing stopping Trump from being elected as Vice President along with JD Vance as President, and then Vance stepping down as President and handing it over to Trump on 1/21/2029.

1) Trump officially will not have been elected to the office of the President more than twice and...

2) As long as he steps down before the end of 2030 (a term that is less than two years) after obtaining Presidency from Vance on 1/21/2029, he will not have held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President, thus he will be allowed to be elected to the office of Presidency more than once (it will have been twice as of 1/21/2029) because by dropping out in less than two years, that is not a qualifying term for the 22nd Amendment restrictions on additional Presidential terms.

Trump is also a realist - He's lucky if he can make it to the end of the current term at which point he'll be 82, let alone until the end of 2030, during which he'll turn 84 in June that year, so this works for him, and allows a few more years if they can pull this off and he's still around; and it allows the easy transition to Vance whenever it's required.

But if he can endure (and boy, does this guy seem to endure, like a bad penny!) until the end of 2030, we have a long way to go with The Don as President
(Of course, unless we actually can have free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028 and prevent these Constitutional shenanigans!)

I think Johnson didn't even slip up, they want this out there - Remember, this is the party that put Project 2025 out there in plain sight.

Btw, I firmly believe that Trump's Presidential Ballroom estimate ballooned to $300 mill. (from initial $200 mill. estimate), the demolition and construction are being closely guarded, and now, the White House commission of Architects who oversee WH renovation projects have been fired because in reality this guy and his inner circle are building a bunker underneath the ballroom just like Nazi Germany architects Leonhard and Albert Speer did for Hitler underneath the Ministry Garden ballroom starting in 1935 and extended a few years later.

I'm still trying to figure out why people are up in arms over the ballroom when the money is coming from donors and not taxpayers. Schumer and the elite have been clutching pearls over the whole thing, but said nothing when Obama made his changes.

Because Obama sought and got approval before beginning his renovations. Just like many things Trump does he's at a minimum breaking the spirit of the law. Hiding behind the idea that demolition doesn't count as renovation and they'll get approval before the next phase. Well ok, but now that you've knocked down the entire structure without approval you're basically forcing everyone's hand.

This is near the bottom of any issues I have with him but I understand people being upset with him knocking down 1/3 of the most important building in our country without asking anyone first or without a concrete plan on how he's going to proceed.

Maybe 1/3 in footprint, but not in importance. I looked at the history of the building to get some extra perspective because I honestly didn't know what the East Wing's function was aside from being an office for the First Lady (But not so much in modern times). It was nicknamed Siberia apparently because it's so far removed from the politics of the Oval Office and the West Wing. Aside from the First Lady offices that were mentioned it also has the emergency bunker under it, and it has the family theatre where Clinton watched the Super Bowl and Nixon watched The Sting. That's pretty much it. Considering they've said the First Lady offices will be rebuild in the new facility, we're not really losing anything of importance. I assume the bunker will remain or may even get updated as part of this.

You forgot to post the article where Trump said he wouldn't try to seek a third term or run as VP.

We’ll see. We’re still far away from 2028 and DJT’s health is a big concern anyway. And the crazy New Right coalition is still gonna try and follow through on its long term plan anyway, whether it’s DJT or Vance as President in 2029.

Also, why do bother to reference bull shit statements from Trump. Do you expect me or anyone to actually believe anything he says is the truth? It’s all gibberish and no one should ever believe his statements. He is Donald Trump after all, The King of Liars (and Subterfuge).
