Williams definitely cannot carry the ball with that arm brace on. He’s on special teams

Entered the season with an elbow injury but yet he's been the "other" deep man on KR.

Just to update, as we saw Williams did in fact have 4 carries in garbage time, so the wrapped elbow doesn't seem to be an issue.

I am sure he's disappointed to lose all of his playing time, but I am not sure what transferring would do. He will be in line to start next year. If he transfers it would just tell me that Nolan James has already passed him in Seider's eyes.

O'Malley is just guessing but did say he thought we would lose 4 running backs for next year - Love, Price, Payne and Williams. The question was if they thought next year's leading rusher would be a transfer - he thought it would be. I know Williams was hurt but I can't believe there isn't any role for him. Dude was a stud late in the year last year. He was the 3rd down back!

I'm sure insinuating TOM meant a transfer is accurate, but I believe he said the leading rusher wasn't on the current roster. With the two stud RBs coming in next year, it could also mean one of the freshman RBs is expected to start in his eyes.

I’d guess we’ll see Williams more in the last few games. He’s fully healthy now and the staff will want to keep Love and Price as fresh as possible for the upcoming CFP run.

The way he talked about getting a transfer that is not bad afterwards makes me think they have heard something about that. And it makes sense. We might like all the RBs on the roster and coming in, but they have no experience. That's one of the reasons I don't like the strict two back rotation. But if we are losing Love and Price, that is probably a big chunk of change that is freed up and none of the inexperienced guys will command that, so might as well go out and get one in the portal. Plus, if we don't get anyone in the portal, even in Aneyas doesn't leave, it will still only be 5 rbs on the team with maybe one more if the walk on Devezin comes back for a fifth year.

At least 1 but I would be stunned if he is on the roster next season.

My opinion is that the roster and schedule next season means ND really needs to go big game hunting in the portal. Will have a championship level roster with a QB who could be a top 10 pick. That doesn't happen often, need to capitalize and go all in, much like OSU last year.

Biggest needs a star WR, RB, a TE if Rairdon doesn’t get another year, 2 DT’s and maybe a DE

Disagree on the need for another RB outside the recruits unless we lose love price and one of our other guys. I think Kendron Young is a between the tackles runner for short yardage. Don’t know if he can break longer runs but given how RBs usually get knicked up (like last year) I could see up to 4-5 backs touching the ball. It will be a drop off from Live and Price but I think we can manage. Don’t want to discourage current roster and potential recruits by shopping around. With Carr getting better we don’t need Love and Price level RBs to excel.

I think we'll be lucky to lose 3 guys from the current roster and it'll likely be 4. But I also didn't think Payne would be on the team this season so who knows. The way the II guys were discussing the topic, it seems they already have a back in mind to come in next season.

I get it's the bye week and all, but I don't see any benefit to anyone bringing this up. They can fill podcast space with plenty of other stuff. I guess it drives traffic, clicks, convo, whatever but still. Midseason on a five game run after beating SC going into a bye week and they want to speculate on guys transferring out.

This is all a bridge to cross upon arrival.

After watching it I didn’t get the hint they were hinting at a transfer hell the question was will the leader in rushes next year currently in the current roster they said no. That could mean a freshman coming in as well.
