I completely forgot he’s from Round Rock. I know UT had a freshman CB last year they loved but they’re gonna be kicking themselves for letting Mickens and Freeman take a guy from their backyard who turns out as good as Leonard Moore.

UT fans have to be used to that after not recruiting RG3 or JFF or Baker or Luck or Mahomes

This thread makes it seem like he is going to be out a bit longer. Just some ominous posts from a user that holding him out against Purdue wasn't something "calculated" to get him ready for Arkansas.

I don't think he has one of those pick6 highlight reel plays yet though. Morrison had a few and I think Love had a few as well.

Todd Lyght for me, but Moore is right there. Just outstanding
Yeah, Lyght was the projected #1 overall NFL pick his last year but dropped all the way to #5 in the offseason. Total stud, but Moore is the closest thing I've seen.

To belabor it (apologies): When I watch Moore, I see the potential of a "Revis Island" type corner who you (as opposing OC) just admitted was too good to even mess with. I mean, damm, he looks like he might intercept every pass.

He's the first non-QB off the board in the 27 draft. All-time great college corner. What he did last night is the equivalent of what Love did on offense.
This is a very bold statement to be making in October of 2025. I hope you're right, you might be right, but Ryan Williams, Jordan Ross and Dylan Stewart may all have something to say about that too.

Make no mistake, Moore is about as good as it gets. He's big, can cover, has great ball skills. There really isn't a ton that is glaringly lacking. He's going to get stronger and better as he goes, but after shutting down Lemon Saturday night, it's game on the rest of the season. Gray and Golden can keep holding the fort down while Moore essentially takes away an entire column out of every offense they will face the rest of the year.

Three Star.
