I think most Americans eat enough for 3 of me. I've got a smaller frame and keep bf% low by exercise, healthy eating, etc.

But even if I was trying to pack on as much muscle as possible to armor-up for football, I'd be max 175. These guys who can carry 300+ and be athletic just blow my mind.

Truth be told, I wish I could carry extra weight without it showing. My frame does not hide extra weight so I either have to stop giving a fuck about how I feel in public or I have to be somewhat obsessive about my dietary habits, working out, etc.

And just to show people I care about thread integrity: Armel looks swole and I hope he contributes this year.🍀:clover:🍀:clover:

My youngest is going into 5th grade, he's already 155, I think he'll get there. Got a little belly on him, but otherwise he's starting to get buff. He's one of the tallest in his class, projected to be 6'6" according to his doctor's charts. I've got him benching sets of 115 right now and squating 135 which is pretty good for 11 years old. Fingers crossed we have a future ND Tackle brewing.

Hughes and Mullins seem to have jumped him and Sevvy in the rotation which is somewhat unexpected

The portal is going to need to be smashed at DT next year, i think that's clear.

I don't think you can expect to see mukam or vernon have an impact, so you return

Hughes, Hinish, Mullins, Sev, and Dixon. Hopefully Dixon can develop and be impactful, but we need at minimum 2 starters to transfer in. Maybe Burgess really develops and slides inside. I like Hola and Golden but I don't think you can ever expect frosh Interior DL to come in and play right away

This is a perfect example of just because a player looks jacked, it doesn't mean they'll be a stud, much less a contributor.

Cole Mullins has been a guy who has made noise since he set foot on campus, and he's only going to get better as he adds weight. He's honestly pretty decent sized right now.

But I think people slept hard on Sevillano. People continued to worry about his weight, but he's still showing out in practice and in the few reps he gets on Saturday, despite being 340. He has a weird body type, because he's not tall, but has a fairly long torso. And let's just be real, some dudes can just do what he can at his weight. If this were the case of him being like 290 in HS and then ballooning up to 340, that'd be one thing, but he's always been a big dude and has played with impressive explosiveness despite it.

Dude has only played what, 3,4 seasons of football? Wouldn't surprise me if it took him until his RS Junior or RS Senior year to finally break out.

One reason I hope Sevillano gets more reps is that he presents a changeup to opposing OLs. You go up against a guy his size for a few plays and you start to get a forward lean to deal with his size. Then you get one of our smaller, quicker DL in and if you don't correct that lean right away, they'll beat you with speed.
