Not a colts fan but he’d have to look really, really bad to not play him right? I mean what is the point of going 7-10 with Daniel Jones? Is that gonna save someone’s job?
He was very obviously a Jim Irsay pick and the girls and Ballard aren’t tethered to doing what Jim mandated at this point.

Mediocre organization is going to have a mediocre quarterback. The people I know who work there say it has gone to shit since the daughters took over. They're cheap and they hire terribly. This is going to be rough.
It's only been a couple of months. Hard to believe they have had an opportunity to be cheap where it counts.

Apparently work ethic, toughness, and brains are all quite bad.
If you follow the Colts, you can read between the lines and see this is true.

Irsay was loyal to a fault. I don't know about Steichen, but Ballard should be gone as soon as the last game is over.

Richardson was drafted way, way too high. Phenomenal athlete, but not a QB. A QB has to be able to read a defense and go through progressions, among other things. Richardson has never shown he can do that, he's always just been this freak athlete that has incredible measurables, but little football IQ.

I’ve been so used to doom and gloom with Colts football that I just felt so confused watching this game today. Like I know it’s only Miami, but I couldn’t believe how competent everyone looked.

Perhaps the outlook is a tad brighter than originally projected. Not sure about playoff caliber though.

But yeah, Richardson is most likely done in Indy barring a DJ injury.

I was emotionally up as the Colts were doing awesome. Then the broadcast listed the Colts record for the opening weekend for the past 12 years and I fell into a deep depression.

Is he even the #2 QB at this point?

Colts looked great yesterday but I’d also caution that Miami might be the worst team in the league this year. They certainly have the worst head coach in the league.

Tua has limitations too. He’s usually pretty good if he has a clean pocket. But he doesn’t have the arm strength to throw deep which is why Miami runs so many crossing routes. He can’t improvise and flick it down field like the Mahomes, Allen, Herberts of the league either.

He wants to get the ball out quick too. Typically, if a D can take away his first read, then he tends to start getting happy feat and that’s when he can throw multiple picks.

I think I was more impressed with the Colts defense than Danny Dimes. Lou Anarumo already showing his worth. I guess if the Bengals were going to poach Al, at least Lou looks like he’s going to work out for Indy.

Yeah Jones can't win most games with only a few throws longer than 10 yards, but the defense might be good enough for this to be a winning team. Ward, Bynum, and Ebukam were welcome additions from last year.

Absolutely shocked at how good we looked last night. Defense looks really good and Danny Jones is a nice change for us. Our QB doesn't need to be the next Msnning especially with all the supporting cast around him. He also plays behind a new and much improved Offensive Line. It sure would be a nice change this year to finally make it to the playoffs. Hope this team continues to improve!

Danny Dimes is good, but I've taken to the nickname my buddy gave him in our Madden Franchise: "Danny Tom Jones." It's Not Unusual for Danny Tom Jones to light up the scoreboard

WTH? Brick posting outside of his thread!

Another crazy thing about Sunday. Colts scored on every possession. First time any team has done that was 1977.

Do not be fooled by Daniel Jones. Great kid, I wish him success, but he will break your heart.

I had too much fun at the game. I'll leave it at that.

I'll have to prepare a bit better for potential success and the beers that go with it.
