The talk of spring was Angeli’s good periods were always 7 v 7. He was consistently weak in 11 v 11 compared to the other two.

The Angeli tranfer doesn't bother me one bit.

If he was clearly better than Minchey and Carr, they would have known and not let him go. If he wasn't, then they should move on. I'm glad they weren't tempted into starting the lower talent guy because of his very limited game experience.

And thank you Steve Angeli, for that wonderful drive!

Pete's awesome but he's a nerd that relies on analytics as his backbone. Angeli's limited stats look great but anyone with eyeballs can see how his weaknesses will snowball quickly for a team that is in position to win a title. He's going to get rocked in the pocket and you can't throw to #1 progression all year long.

Wow, interesting captains choices to say the least. Pauling being the "Gug Rat" apparently really paying off.

No Love, no Shuler, No Craig, kind of surprising...

Edit: Scratch that, Shuler just announced.

Mike Frank just said that Minchey actually had the stronger Spring except for the Spring Game itself and they reported it that way at the time. I don't know if that's true or not.
They did report that at the time, he isn't gaslighting. But the idea that Minchey was ahead of Carr or "favored" can be pretty easily disproven by looking at what Carr was/is making in NIL and contrasting that to Minchey. If they projected him as the starter, they would've given Minchey something more over the summer and treated him differently. They didn't. But the way he is being treated now implies that he's going to be the guy Week 1 or is at minimum even odds to take the job.

That's not the way he was spinning it. He was spinning it as they were reporting in the Spring that people shouldn't be quick to anoint Carr because Minchey probably outplayed him and could make this interesting.

I thought it would be Wagner, Schrauth and Greathouse

Shuler, Bowen and Botelho

Which would be a million percent accurate.

Theoretically yes. I think coaches do their due diligence; I would expect a light thumb on the scale if necessary though.
