If Freeman says that, or something similar, then I’ll be comfortable with that. I can appreciate some gamesmanship.

But if it’s something along the lines of “it’s an ongoing competition”, then I’ll be very concerned about the outlook of this season.

Then again, if the players know then I’d say there’s a 0.1% chance a player doesn’t tell a buddy or classmate who the starter is. Then it’ll spread like wildfire.
