That was closer to being a squat. Thank goodness I don’t have to do to Landow what I did to Balis. I ended his career.

I’m pretty high on him after summer and camp reports. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Faison loses snaps to him. Pauling seems to be a proven, reliable option that Faison hasn’t been yet.

I'm becoming more and more of a believer in Pauling. And further to arrowryan's point, Faison isn't helping himself be playing two sports. Bowen had to drop baseball, and is better off for it. He's been great on gadget plays, but had way too many drops.

WR's are going to undersell at Wisconsin, even with that doomed attempt to install Air Raid there (I'm a big believer in the idea that you can't rewrite your football DNA). Wisconsin can plant cleats in the dirt and sprout a running game. The passing game is complementary, at best.

Pauling led P4 in drops in 2024. Was also one of the worst from a % standpoint. Wisconsin fans were largely fine letting him walk to keep their other slot Kekahuna instead

For our offense to take off, Faison has to take a step forward or the Burress hype train, Pauling is JAG

That second play where he attacks the ball and cuts off the Illinois defender, instead of letting the ball go to him and get it picked off... yeah, I like that.

Davante Adams was ass and couldn’t catch shit his first year in GB. Players can change/improve. Some can’t

That caught my eye, too. De-cleated the first DB, and cut off the second one.

All true
He seems motivated from all the reports thought. He knows this is his shot.

I suppose Jordan Faison can also improve then, by that simplistic logic. I’ll take the guy already equipped with elite short area quickness and burst

Denbrock never met a slot fade he didn’t like…

With a thin/unproven TE room, may be plenty of reps for both Faison and Pauling to hurt defenses from inside positions if Denbrock feels like he has a QB that can handle calling protections in a 4WR set

No, he wasn't. It was objectively Greathouse, and that is not debatable.
True, but Faison was the leading receiver vs IU and UGA. Worth noting for everyone who thinks he’s going to take the back seat this year.

Others may prefer to take the guy who has actually proven it for a season though. Faison has been pretty underwhelming overall minus a flash here and there.
