I’m pretty high on him after summer and camp reports. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Faison loses snaps to him. Pauling seems to be a proven, reliable option that Faison hasn’t been yet.

I'm becoming more and more of a believer in Pauling. And further to arrowryan's point, Faison isn't helping himself be playing two sports. Bowen had to drop baseball, and is better off for it. He's been great on gadget plays, but had way too many drops.

WR's are going to undersell at Wisconsin, even with that doomed attempt to install Air Raid there (I'm a big believer in the idea that you can't rewrite your football DNA). Wisconsin can plant cleats in the dirt and sprout a running game. The passing game is complementary, at best.

With a thin/unproven TE room, may be plenty of reps for both Faison and Pauling to hurt defenses from inside positions if Denbrock feels like he has a QB that can handle calling protections in a 4WR set

True, but Faison was the leading receiver vs IU and UGA. Worth noting for everyone who thinks he’s going to take the back seat this year.

Others may prefer to take the guy who has actually proven it for a season though. Faison has been pretty underwhelming overall minus a flash here and there.
