This is getting heavy. Put Minchey in and let Carr learn the ropes. 1 pick from Minchey next man in

Celebrating my 40th today and I’ll be around campus. Might just try to confidently walk my way into practice.
Bro steal something out of his mailbox and if anyone confronts you tell security you have an urgent letter for Coach Freeman that was mistakenly delivered to you. An old bill from Columbia house for CDs and shit. I got you bro! And happy birthday

So I just finished the most recent II pod. While it does seem like a bunch of Debby downers, the question was what position groups concern you the most for this team to be a title contender and I think all of us would agree that QB, DL and TE would be the question marks.
WR and QB for me. TE and DL are usually fine most years. WR has been ordinary for last 5 years.

I wouldn't read into individual drills at all lol. I like Sneed but there's no way he starts over KVA right? KVA/Bowen are the primarily ILBs and Ausberry/Sneed rotates through to keep everyone fresh.
Sneed definitely will “start” game 1. Will he end up with more snaps? Likely not.

I'll bet you a 100 Schrute bucks KVA starts. Or a million Stanley nickels. Whichever you prefer.

When they operate with 3 LBs, Sneed is most likely the guy. I love Sneed and hope he is a monster this year but KVA played a lot as a true freshman in critical moments, despite being banged up. Sneed is in his 4th year and continues to improve but KVA is far more likely to take a big step moving into his true sophomore season.
$100 Sneed starts at Miami. Deal?

I'd have KVA, Sneed and Bowen as the starting LBs and let them sort out between themselves where they stand and which direction they run when the first snap is had.

Edit: by the way, my first ND dream of the season involved KVA getting a pick 6 in game 1 of the season...but it was against Yale and ND was down 14-7 at the end of first quarter when I either woke up or move on to the next dream.

I feel like I've been waiting a lifetime for this LB group to play. Last season was only a glimpse into the havoc they're going to bring.
OLU, DBU, RBU, and soon to be LBU!

I think Fields and Pauling upgrade the WR room considerably from what we had the last year or three, plus Greathouse and Faison being a year older/more experienced. And you'd think someone else will emerge out of the stable of younger guys. I'm more optimistic at WR than have been in awhile.
On DL, we're loaded on the edges, no worries there. In the middle, much depends on Dawson and Onye (and what's up with Rubio? Haven't heard his name much). Our DL has just been such a strength for so many years. Might take a half-step back but it should be fine.
Life's too short to worry about tight ends. We always have a tight end, and you only really need one.
Nah, the only real question mark is QB. Of course it's the most important position on the field.

Remember Faison got hurt early vs A&M and wasn’t really the same all regular season. That’s a huge upgrade having him healthy. I guarantee he was supposed to have a much bigger role last year but injury prevented that and clearly impacted the passing game week 2

If today is gameday who is ND's starting QB?

I think Sneed is a starter, but he and KVA could be a 1-2 punch and I wouldn't rule out KVA taking over as a starter.

WR’s are way better this year than last. Burress might end up being our second best WR by the end of the year he’s that good. Merck I’m sure has more insight but it would be nice to see the younger DT’s take a job we need 2 young guys to break out. Mukam, Vernon, Dixon, Sevailianno someone needs to break out or ND will be forced to go portalling again this offseason

There is absolutely no chance in hell that Burress will be better than Greathouse or Fields. If that happens I will send you $100,000 dollars.

Can you not read I said second best WR, Fields is the best hands down I think he’s got a good shot at being right there with Greathouse if not pretty close.

You're smoking the purest form of meth. Heisenberg shit if you think that true freshman Elijah Burress will pass Jaden Greathouse. There is no rational basis whatsoever to make this claim. Not in their recruiting rankings. Not in their spring or fall camp performances. Nothing to suggest that he could pass Greathouse at any point.

Let's do a wager - if Burress finishes within the top 4 in either receptions or receiving yards mods can IP ban me, if he doesn't same penalty for you. Hell, I'll do you one better, if Burress finishes as #5 in either category 3 month ban for me.

Agree?

Canadian or American?

Dropping down to #5 is insane, I don’t think it’s beyond belief at all to imagine that he could be #5, are you excluding RBs for this bet or including them in the stats?

Fields/Greathouse/Faison/Pauling - all will cruise past Burress. Including Raridon that's 5. I think there might be something to be said for KK Smith who's had some praise in the past for growing behind the scenes (I know he had that horrendous drop/INT). Maybe some veteran trust for him from Brown? The talk the past two years seems to be that Gilbert is pressing for decent time too. I don't know how much the backup at the boundary will get though.

That's excluding the RB's who would just make it more extreme.

I think Fields and Greathouse will be our top 2 wrs. Would bet Faison and Pauling are 3 and 4 in some order. However, could see a world where Faison, Pauling, Williams, Burress, or Gilbert are 3-5. What I am trying to say is that I don't know shit and neither do most of us
