Training camps are live across the League this week. Not college, but finally some actual football discussion, and that means college football is right around the corner.

Most, if not all, rookies are reporting today if not already, and majority of veterans begin camp tomorrow across the league.

  • Ben Johnson has had the mom hugger taking snaps under center, just like Goff in Detroit. He took 71 all of last year. Goff had 217.
  • Loveland looks to be making an impact. Luther Burden looks good too.
  • Hopefully Jaylon Johnson is ready for week one.
  • Left tackle battle is going to be interesting.
  • Bear Down

I have noticed a good amount of injuries during the first week.
Hopefully all the holdouts and drama ends soon.

Terry McLaurin has requested a trade out of the Commanders.

Pretty big piece of Jayden Daniels' breakout rookie season. Should be interesting how this one unfolds on and off the field.

Terry has quietly been one of the most consistent WRs in the NFL, but for some reason I don't think he gets nearly the hype or attention he deserves.

That would be a massive loss for the 'Manders.

He's got quite a bit of leverage as not having their only real threat at pass catcher can derail Washington's season immediately. It doesn't really make sense for Washington to give him the money in a vacuum (age), but Daniels is still cheap for a few more years. Take advantage of it while you can

Agreed.

The Commanders have not been very good since Terry joined the League. Last year was the first good year they've had in his career thus far. Certainly why he may go unnoticed.

Speaking of ND safeties in the NFL, I saw some ragebait posted on Twitter yesterday saying that there are no star safeties in the NFL right now. The Kyle Hamilton disrespect, Greg Flammang would never tolerate that

Yeah, that seems insane to me. In addition to Hamilton, did no one notice what Kirby Joseph and Xavier McKinney did last year? 9 and 8 INTs respectively. Harrison Smith but be aging/declining slightly but he is probably a HOFer one day.

This is probably just recency bias since safeties can't lower the boom on WRs like they used to.

You're 100% correct about the recency bias, because the guy was pointing to Polamalu and Ed Reed with highlights from the early 2000s that would never play today lol.

And FYI about Hayseed, I've mentioned in another thread before but his accolades fall short compared to several of his peers. I'm not sure how the HoF normally treats safeties, but having fewer All Pros/Pro Bowls than most of your contemporaries might make the difference on whether he gets in or not.

Tua might be MVP this year.

Heard here first.
He will be great until a bird flaps its wings nearby and gives him his 18th serios concussion.
If there was a Nobel Prize for trying to keep going give it to him, but you also need to hand over the Prize for CTE.

She's correct but frankly Redzone is so good that any change would be a negative. High cost aside, its literally a perfect product. Its 7 hours straight of football with no commercials and a really top notch host taking the remote and keeping you informed on the game flow and action for each situation. I usually only do the free weekend on YouTube TV but its nirvana.

eventually gambling will be outlawed from sports sponsorship/tv coverage, probably alcohol too much like cigarettes were in the 90's and society will look back extremely negatively towards the whole thing. I'd say in America with gambling we are about 10 years away from a large scale crisis with it amongst young men. Its simply not sustainable.

I'm inclined to agree with you.

I don't gamble and I stopped playing Fantasy Football over 15 years ago. I just like the football, but that's not at all realistic when it comes to packaging it anymore.

Feels like the answer to everything is gambling, more games, more playoff teams, more exposure.
