Not to be a c**t, but two of those guys were first rounders.Sam Bradford, Da'quan Bowers, Dominique Easley and Gronk say hello

I enjoy that we've gone from national championship aspirations to we suck again in 5 full practices. Those practices containing 3 sessions of the beat watching drills lolDamn that podcast was like being dunked in ice water.
What's the chances you think we see both Carr and Minchey against Miami?ND would love Miami to prepare for a RPO heavy dual threat QB as well as a vertical passing QB and for that I can’t get down with limited access practice reports. Until they get access to a full scrimmage it’s a bunch of smoke
It's an IE tradition. Just like everyone is an AA candidate in spring practices.I enjoy that we've gone from national championship aspirations to we suck again in 5 full practices. Those practices containing 3 sessions of the beat watching drills lol
Given the very limited action both have seen, I doubt Miami could get any advantage if they knew who was starting, but I get your point.I'm sure everybody is playing their cards close to the vest. No need to give the other team you're opening with 3 extra weeks to prep. I would imagine most will wait until the week of to decide who's their guy. Just makes the most sense
I think that’s been the takeaway from a lot of the beat. They’re trying to come off as overreacting but it’s hard to deny the fact that time is running out to prepare w/ the actual starter getting all the 1st team reps.
Heard on one pod that Carr tries to hit the big play too often vs taking what the defense gives him. Maybe he’s pressing b/c Minchey has proven formidable?
If you told me that ND is going to get blown out at least once this season, I’d put it on the inexperienced QB play imploding b/c every other phase of the current team is good enough to compete & win every game on their schedule.
In my opinion, I take no information from this exchange. It was as baseless speculating as I have seen. I was kinda surprised they would make these leaps with, as they admitted, just personal speculation. I would not have come to the same conclusions based on their lack of information. Kinda surprised. I thought these guys were a little more solid than that. Do they always do that?Yeah a real downer
I thought about starting a “2025 Season Revisted” thread. It's an IE tradition. Just like everyone is an AA candidate in spring practices.
Literally my first thought. Kizer was way more talented but the team "liked" Zaire and it caused the worst lockerroom / worst season in the Kelly era by far.Great. That worked out well with Kizer/Zaire. Hope it’s just a rumor
Had that same thought as well, but then I remembered that team was coached by Brian Kelly, Mike Sanford, and Brian VanGorder and this team is coached by MF Marcus Freeman, Mike Denbrock, and Chris Ash. Not nearly as worriedLiterally my first thought. Kizer was way more talented but the team "liked" Zaire and it caused the worst lockerroom / worst season in the Kelly era by far.
Someone mentioned it before but it’s soooooo odd that the second practices are closed to the media that we are hearing all this information. Not saying there’s no possibility that any of it is true, but it doesn’t pass the smell test. Carr looked really damn good during the spring game showcasing his arm and there has been many reports of the leadership role he’s taken. I love the II guys but that was all speculation and filling in blanks.Had that same thought as well, but then I remembered that team was coached by Brian Kelly, Mike Sanford, and Brian VanGorder and this team is coached by MF Marcus Freeman, Mike Denbrock, and Chris Ash. How I interpreted this was that maybe the team like Minchey a little more. But Carr is also respected. I get the vibe that people really never liked Kizer. Also, Zaire was an early commit and helped lead his class. Minchey was a late flip. That could matter...idk.Literally my first thought. Kizer was way more talented but the team "liked" Zaire and it caused the worst lockerroom / worst season in the Kelly era by far.
Amazing update. Nothing on the QBs or Burress?Intel on RB's and WR's from a Friend of the Website:
RB's:
Love - he's a witch, would be in danger if this were the late 1600's
Price - see previous post... if he has learned how to commit to inside runs, look out
Nolan James Jr. - Is the real deal. Good balance, can finish runs with strong lower body, enough speed to be dangerous.
Gi'Bran Payne - All the way back from injury. May not contribute a whole lot, but an extreme luxury to have him as an option for a 3rd down back behind Love, Price and Williams
Aneyas Williams - Amazing balance and finishes with power better than any of the other RB's... will act as the change-of-pace from Love and Price. Very capabale receiver either out wide or abusing LB's in the middle, as we've seen already
WR's:
Jaden Greathouse - Expect him to pick up where he left off against OSU. Full breakout incoming.
Micah Gilbert - Needs to stay healthy, but good release, good routes, and uses his body well on 50/50 balls. Something to work with if he can stay available.
Logan Saldate - Might be the best route runner on the team, mentally strong... but needs more time
Cam Williams - Maybe most physically gifted receiver overall on the roster, and getting very close mentally. Just a bit more time.
KK Smith - Some things have to happen ahead of him on the depth chart for him to get involved.
Scrap Richardson - Picking things up quickly, good speed and good hands. Should be a contributor down the line.
Jerome Bettis Jr. - Good physical tools, and can play physical when necessary, but raw. Needs a couple years of work.
No specific intel on the two transfers, yet
Also probably okay to ignore any speculation about current team dynamics, for now

For now!?

you cant tell us what to thinkAlso probably okay to ignore any speculation about current team dynamics, for now
Merckxe, do you know any more about the qb battle? People speculating the team likes Minchey more and Carr has done nothing to step up. Weird vibesBurress should have been a mid/upper 4 star.
Don’t think that scenario hasn’t crossed my mind. Like Carr today, Powlus was thought of as the inevitable starter the minute he enrolled. I think 1993 would’ve been a pedestrian season had Powlus been QB. The team wasn’t bought in & were loyal to KMc & Powlus couldn’t run for shit. With zero insight, I do get a gut feeling, it’s going to be Minchey. We are just replaying 1993.
Carr will soon break his collarbone and K-Mac, I mean K-Minch, will take us to the promised land...
Minus the Tom Coughlin episode, who, although still breathing, should be hanging out with the thieves in the 8th circle of the Inferno
Don’t listen to the Inside ND Sports “Football Never Sleeps” pod then. It’s got a similar tone. Side note: evidently they were absorbed w/ the On3 purchase of Rivals and working w/ Singer now?Damn that podcast was like being dunked in ice water.
Irishlion’s source is informed on the matter.
