Hes gonna be a borderline 5 star247 has him a 3 star QB, yet his offers are Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State. Makes sense!
It's probably that Michigan offer holding him down, seeing a they had a running back at QB last year.247 has him a 3 star QB, yet his offers are Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State. Makes sense!

You're such a troll. Showing your lack of tack again, calm down EJ. Who gives a shit about Michigan in this scenario? He's a top QB and the guy the staff wanted all along.Thank god we get to rub this one in Michigans face
Crazy because Gino still hasn't even offered anyoneBig to get an elite QB locked up early
Interesting take. There is merit to it thoughReally like Jarrard as a passer coming off his sophomore year, but based off his stats, this as a square peg in the round hole of a Denbrock offense that requires a qb as a running threat to be at its most potent. Does this signal an offense scheme change or is he a better running threat/ athlete than what he's shown?

I don't necessarily agree that Denbrock needs a duel threat QB. I think we are just looking at recent QBs he has had. Riddler, Daniels, Leonard were runners. But RIddler wasn't a great runner, could keep you honest, Daniels was freakin good all around, Leonard great runner but bad thrower. I think as long as the QB is an adequate+ runner, he fits the system. I think any of our current QBs fit that mold as does Teddy. Teddy also shows great pocket mobility. Now if we want to talk about how Grubbs fit the scheme...Really like Jarrard as a passer coming off his sophomore year, but based off his stats, this as a square peg in the round hole of a Denbrock offense that requires a qb as a running threat to be at its most potent. People worry wayy too much about running ability in my opinion. If a kid can move around a bit, has a good arm, and a brain to make good decisions he can run just about any offense this side of the veer.Really like Jarrard as a passer coming off his sophomore year, but based off his stats, this as a square peg in the round hole of a Denbrock offense that requires a qb as a running threat to be at its most potent. Exactly. If you look at his tape, he's not Lamar Jackson, but he can scoot if he needs to (with a 40+ yard touchdown run at the 3:30 mark). But QB rushing stats is a mix of ability + playcalling. If they're not calling read option plays or QB runs, he's not going to get the yards. Also there was plenty of opportunity for him to take off and get more yards scrambling from watching his tape, but he kept his eyes down field and got the ball to his WRs, and one of my biggest qualms with Leonard was him not doing that (especially early in the season).People worry wayy too much about running ability in my opinion. I'll take a kid who can throw but isn't good at running 10/10 times over the reverse.
To your latter point, no idea if he's a better athlete than he appears. But I would guess/hope he shows up to South Bend as a better athlete than he was during his sophomore season of high school football
Pocket mobility, pocket awareness, keeping on schedule, move the chains. All that is needed…and I LOVE MOBILE qbs. But the same convo wld be with Houston. With his size, would be a huge risk to design qb runsNotre Dame has had a “mobile” QB multiple times over the last 10-15 years and they’ve struggled to consistently throw the ball every time.
Jarrard seems to have Ian Book-like mobility and that’s perfectly fine with me.
People are going to hate this, but he reminds me of Zach Wilson's college film. He's mobile and athletic enough to forces teams to be honest.actually go and watch his entire hudl film. He runs better than some of you are implying
I agree on the size being an impact. I felt that way about Hebert too. A QB’s ability to get tough yards matters more than his quickness a lot of the time.Pocket mobility, pocket awareness, keeping on schedule, move the chains. All that is needed…and I LOVE MOBILE qbs. Heck no there isn't. He was the consensus number 2 player in the draft. The Niners traded how many picks hoping he'd fall to three? There's nothing wrong with Zach Wilson college film. But me being the Ian Book fan I am, I'll stick to that comparison
Driskel screaming from underneath a pile of Dew cans that Jerrard ain't shit.Big to get an elite QB locked up early
I don't see him running much QB power.
I do see him as enough of a running threat to not allow defenses to leave him unaccounted for.
