I usually do this, or will park across the street on the golf course for the extra $20.

Now that I’ve confirmed White Field and the shuttle are a pain, I’ll just make sure I’ve got plenty of cash for whatever I find lol

Was just gifted tickets and a parking pass for Saturday, very excited to take my son to his first regular season game (he has been to the Blue and Gold game previously).

Searching the ND Gameday website, these parking lots/shuttles are set up in the most confusing way lol. I have parking for White Field, but apparently that's broken down into the Blue and Gold lots? Is there a way for me to know which lot my pass is for, or does it not matter once you get there?

Also, any tips for catching the shuttle? Have heard previously that it may be better to just pay and park closer despite having a White Field pass.

I had zero problems getting the shuttle from white lot to the stadium. It dropped us off at the library and picked us up there. We were off campus in matter of minutes. Very efficient the one time I parked.

Last week they were taking pay on the spot at Dorr road and the golf course. it’s a pretty good hang there most times. Bulla last year was a mortuary. Still might be some spots available on Ironwood through the school but the neighborhoods in that area have plenty of guys renting out their driveways and you can refresh yourself at the Linebacker on your way to the stadium.

With the branding and marketing of "Guinness" and the "PLACT" wine, it, along with other alcohol options, simply make sense. Does anyone know if there have been discussions to implement the sale of alcoholic beverages?

I just don't think it's something the school's administration is interested in pursuing. This is just conjecture on my part, but it's not "mission aligned."

I'm just speculating here though, Boston College sells alcohol during games I'm told.

Good point. I do remember Notre Dame fans throwing bottles on the field during the Penn State game. I was always of this mindset that fans "wouldn't go as hard" during the tailgates and bars pregame if alcohol was sold in the stadium. Guess that's not always the case.

My wife and I came out to a game 2 years ago and this year we are bringing the kids with us. I say kids 15 and 11. Is there an actual bad seat in the house?

Really no "bad" seats - but lower in either endzone can make it tough to see what's happening when action is on the other side of the 50. But even then, it's manageable and is really cool when the action is right in front of you.

Edit - but if you're coming for SC, anywhere near their band is a bad seat

I echo a lot of what @MPClinton22 said. No real bad seats, but if you're in an endzone and luck is bad you can have all the action on the other side of the field. That happened to me one time in 2013 for a dreary, rainy Navy game that was back and forth, all the scores were on the opposite side of the field really. That said, I was in the endzone and next to the band for the FSU game last year and we saw plenty of action (Including when FSU got chippy with Love after a late score). That was a lot of fun, plus we were close to the students and got a front row seat for their cheers and chants.

I kind of like being close to the student section because they bring a lot of energy, so either underneath the press box in sections 27-31ish if you can find a seat, or an easier to obtain seat in the endzone like 1-3. Most of the games I've been to were in Section 10 on the 40 yard line just 5 rows up from opposing benches, which made it fun when heckling the other team.

As Clinton said, I would say stay relatively away from the SE section, that's generally the visitor's area and where the SC band will be. Unless you want to be up close to hear "Fight On" 537 times during the game, stay away!

If I'm sitting in an endzone I prefer to be closer, so Section 2 below that, but 102 isn't bad either. Still right next to the student section that way so you can feed off their vibe.

I'm in the top row, so a natural seat back of we aren't standing. Pretty sure my section is the defacto band alumni section.

I was just coming to say the same thing. If you can, get the upper endzone on the tunnel side opposite the jumbotron just for when play is heading away from you, but also for your eardrums. But honestly, no, ND Stadium doesn't have a "bad seat." I've sat just about everywhere and I've always had a great time.

My guess is they would not. Elkhart hotels probably don’t have access to shuttles for anything.

I used ParkWhiz app last time I went to a game, parked in someone's side yard for cheap. They drove us to the stadium, but we had to walk back after the game (It wasn't bad, like a couple blocks east past the Backer). Normally we would have been stuck in traffic anyway trying to get out of the stadium, and by walking to the car we ended up bypassing the gridlock and getting right to the highway.
