I could be wrong, but I believe calvegas04 is a Kings fan.
As a Hawks fan, I kind of remember battling him in the 2010's.

***No Canadian team deserves to win until Toronto wins.

Fuck those other teams. Toronto is the ND of the NHL.
I think ND’s history is aligned with the Canadiens much better than the Leafs. I’d say the same regarding the depth of tradition and place in the history of the sport. Both teams were representative of a minority group that made strides in popular culture due to their on-field/on-ice success.

The Habs are the only hockey team that matches ND in terms of legendary players and coaches.

And both teams last won a championship in 93.

Actually I think you’re right. Habs are a better fit.

Leafs would be like pre recent-championships Georgia or pre-Saban Bama.

I know people love to hate the Leafs but they do have the second most cups. If it was easy win it so much back in O6 why do the Hawks and Rangers have so few?

The original six had different rules. There were territorial rights to junior hockey players. Anyone within a fifty mile radius of the city had to sign with that team. Obviously it gave the Habs and Leafs an enormous advantage.

I’d go with pre-Saban Bama or Oklahoma. UGA is kinda small time. They may be the Islanders or Kings in this analogy

Still no Canadian Stanley Cups since the year I was born. Waiting for Canada to make me a lucrative offer before I even consider lifting the curse.

Lets gooooo! Fuck the Oilers. No team has benefited from luck more post-lockout. May they toil forever.

(I cheer for every American team when they play a Canadian team except the Leafs of course.)

Going back to back in the cap era is no easy feat. Have to give the Panthers their flowers. It's a big accomplishment

Knoblauch was Mcdavid’s junior coach. I highly doubt they fire him when he can be a UFA next July,
Not hiring Knoblauch in favor of Laviolette is one of the more regrettable decisions by the NYR front office in a sea of recent regrettable decisions.

Mitch Marner says he and his wife were talking with the Vegas guys/wives during the 4 Nations about what Vegas was like.

Toronto's best chance at a cup and bro had a foot out the door. Can't make this up. RIP @TorontoGold

Great player, but just an awful teammate. Bro hit up all the student bars and hung out with some of my friends who were mutuals with him since they grew up in the same area. Lived like he was still in juniors. Unsurprising that he wanted to leave as soon as he was counted on to be a big boy.
