If this isn't child abuse. I don't know how to understand.

Imagine if they put that much effort and energy into teaching Johnny to read at a grade-appropriate level, understanding science and history, teaching critical thinking skills, and teaching math like teachers used to do a few decades ago.

The people throwing rocks and assaulting officers for enforcing the law are the same ones complaining about "threats to democracy." You don't have to agree with a law, but you don't get to assault people for enforcing the law. If you don't agree with a law, elect those who'll change it. Otherwise, campaign, complain, argue against it, or whatever, but this sort of BS is unacceptable in a civilized society. You don't get to pitch a temper tantrum and be violent because you aren't getting your way or others won't agree with you.

Before anyone reads the maga influincers saying bricks were brought in for the rioters. The riot videos were right next to a Homedepot and the rioters were taking bricks from there

Except January 6, of course.

You do know that most of us don't support the January 6th stuff, right? We just don't think it was the "biggest threat to democracy in history" that some of you try to make it out to be. Now, back to the current riots: do you think it's OK to assault law enforcement officers carrying out the law? Do you think it's OK to riot, destroy property, and attack officials because you don't agree with a law?

Well, you’d be wrong about J6. It was worse than you think it was. Maybe the left needs to start playing your games and the next Democratic president can just pardon everyone. Maybe he/she can give millions of tax dollars to them too. What should people who disagree with the law do when the government makes it illegal to protest? How about when the government gases protesters or beats protesters or sics dogs on protesters or sprays protesters with fire hoses? We are going to reach a crisis during this administration, mark my fucking words…

Why are they all waving Mexican flags and the flags of other nations? Are they saying that their allegiance lies with those countries? Do they think that is a good look?

One would think that they would be happy going back there since they are waving full size flags of their home countries in defiance of the United States government. I didnt see one American flag so clearly they don't see themselves as Americans.

I sure didn't see the Afrikanners arrive in the US waving South African or Dutch flags.

How did we get to the point where it's OK to illegally come into our country out of a desire to benefit from its prosperity rather than any love or devotion to it..... and then have the gall to wave the flag of the country you came from whenever you or others are arrested for it?

How did we get to the point where liberal Americans think A. This is ok, B. Even defend/like it, and C. Try to stop it by almost any means necessary. Do liberal Americans really have that little pride and honor in their own nation?

I can't believe I'm going to quote Hillary Clinton here. When she arrived at the 2016 convention, she noticed that there wasn't one American flag displayed. Oh, there were Mexican, Palestinian, gay pride, DNC Donkey flags, etc. She had to call organizers over to have them get a bunch of American flags up there. She reportedly told them 'Show some fucking pride in your country.'

You should learn the difference between peacefully protesting, which is completely legal, and violent rioting, which is totally illegal.

Why are there so many Irish flags in NY, Boston and Chicago on Saint Paddy’s day?

They’re all waving Mexican flags because they’re in Paramount at Home Depot. Lol.

Muthafuckas like LeBron James, the Kardashians and yes the Trumps need cheap labor to mow their lawns, do drywall and rough carpentry on their housing flips, work at their country clubs, restaurants and hotels as well as pick their vegetables.

Capitalism laughs at your preconceived borders and naive notions of patriotism.

Nice non answer.
I'm still waiting on you to address my original point about violence from your side when you disagree with the law, instead of you dodging the point with the same tired old "January 6th! January 6th!"

I know your reading comprehension is better than that Bluto. You seem to ignore the "Don't make yourself a target and be vigilant" part.

Classic commie move trying to use someone's morals against them taunting the whole "being a Christian" line in defense of lawless deviants taking a dirt nap.
Ah, I see. Putting some dumb ass bumper sticker on your car talking about “liberal tears” is about not being a “target” and “being vigilant” as opposed to being a disrespectful dumb ass.

If my kid put something like that on his car I’d tell him he was a disrespectful dumb ass.

I had many a conversations with my kid about respecting other people’s belief systems over the years. I also made him go to Midnight Mass in latin with my dad as a sign of respect to my old man on a number of occasions. He thought it was kind of weird but he loved and respected my dad so that provided some much needed context. I also reminded him to think about if he would be comfortable telling my dad the same statement to his face when he would say things like “Christian’s are sheep” and “religion is stupid”.

As to the religion part. Jesus loved him some deviants and degenerates. Don’t ever remember murdering someone being celebrated in the gospels. If you’re gonna follow Jesus, follow Jesus.

I have no problem with a parade of celebration on one day a year for Irish Americans to celebrate St. Patrick and contributions made by their community. I also have no problem with Cinco De Mayo, Juneteenth, Hanukkah, etc.

But I think there is a big difference between those examples and the current situation.

I do agree with your thoughts on exploiting cheap labor and pure capitalism though. It's BS.

I thought it was rhetorical. Of course I don’t support violent protest. It completely takes away the focus of the protest.

I was simply pointing out that Paramount is a predominantly working class, latino area of LA where this is taking place. In that regard seeing Mexican flags isn’t unusual.

If masked federal agents were running around raiding places in predominantly white, conservative areas I’m guessing you’d see all kinds of flags at the protests as well.

You're no dummy, but this is a really really weak comparison of two very different set of circumstances.

He’s partly right, in my opinion. I would like to add to the bolded that many, many 1st generation Americans wave the flag of their homeland. In some families, that pride carries on generation after generation. That doesn’t mean they aren’t happy to be here or want to go back.

If my community was subjected to ICE raids, I would call you a disrespectful dumbass for running around waiving foreign flags and burning cars. FAFO. Give them the same prize that the J6ers got and the embedded agitators avoided.

That can all be true, but those 1st generation Americans aren't waving flags of their homeland on top of burning cop cars with signs that read "Death to ICE." My guess is those Americans you're referring to are also here legally.

Not even a close comparison.
