whoever votes for Dems In the midterms, should really take some time to reflect on the last 20 years. Trumps first 4 was treated like a thief in the night. Thank God Biden had 4 years in office. He made the American people aware of the scum of the earth. The Jake Tappers of this country need to be tried for treason.

He's very, very opinioned on US politics and elections, more so than he is about ND football, all this despite being Canadian. I'll never quite understand it, but I welcome the discourse.

I promise you I consume enough ND content in a week that would make you sick. I don’t feel the need to clog the threads that people actually visit the site for with amateur takes. I’ll always be confused with the take I don’t post enough in the football threads, but it’s never a concern for a Bama fan. Who knows, I’m petty, but not petty enough to post watch.

This is a review of Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes. The book (and the article) are a brutal look at the cover-up of Joe's health and inability to actually perform his duties, and the cascade of mistakes and short-range thinking that led to the Dems replacing him with Kamala and what a disaster that was. Lots of identity politics, pandering, power grabbing, and such that led to an electoral disaster and a party with no clear direction or leadership. About a 5 minute read and well worth it.

This was the sort of stuff going on in the White House the past few years that was obvious to anyone watching it on TV, but that Biden's handlers, KJP, the press covering for him, and the useful idiots denying it all claimed was "Right wing conspiracy lies." Unelected aides were running the show in a Weekend At Bernie's sort of stage production.

Their excuse of Trump being an "existential threat to democracy" to justify it is so typical of the left. Everything is some sort of existential threat and, in their minds, justifies the lies, the criminal acts, the immoral behavior, the weaponization of government agencies and the courts, or anything else they do. Basically, they consider everything they disagree with to be a justification for anything, and in their mind they convince themselves that they're good people for doing it. That's how we end up with this sort of mess and the long history of unintended consequences from leftist ideas.

A longtime aide to former President Joe Biden admitted that White House staff felt justified doing “undemocratic things” during his term in office because they believed President Donald Trump posed an existential threat to American democracy.

The revelation came during an appearance by Axios reporter Alex Thompson on “Fox News Sunday” with Shannon Bream, where he discussed insider accounts from his reporting on the Biden administration. Thompson described a mindset inside the White House — one in which unelected aides saw themselves as the real decision makers while shielding Biden from scrutiny and managing the presidency behind the scenes.

“If you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe — that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy, you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things,” Thompson said.

Thompson also cited a quote from his reporting in which a longtime Biden aide openly admitted the president “just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years.”

“He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while,” the aide reportedly told Thompson. “His aides could pick up the slack.”

Access to Biden was tightly controlled by an inner circle of unelected staffers who managed his schedule and limited who could speak to him directly, Thompson said.

“When you’re voting for president, you’re voting for the aides around him,” the aide said.

This stuff is unimaginable. Crazy to think so many people were involved in trying to keep things under wraps. Still, those on the left have kept quiet since things have come out.

I think at least half of Biden's votes were from people that were aware they were voting for Weekend at Bernies and either hoped it was Obama's third term or hate Trump so much they didn't care.
