Burke goes in the 6th after Sawyer in the 4th for OSU. JTT and Henderson in the 2nd.

The idea that these guys turned down the 1st round last year was always BS, but bringing back a group of mid round guys was the difference.
Yep. Super exaggerated. The days of high end draft eligible guys sticking around for a 4th year is done. The days of retaining guys who would get drafted but aren't locks for top 100 picks has begun.

If the Browns actually had a strategy of “draft a bunch of QBs to get as many lottery tickets as possible” I would respect it.

But realistically, that’s not what they did. They got a game manager with low ceiling in Gabriel. The idea there is to back up Watson and maybe turn into a viable starter. Then they took a project player in Sanders who will likely be carried as the third QB or practice squad to start the year and you have to bank on him putting in the work to develop while not being a distraction.

I mean he can’t not have elite tools and be projected as a first rounder (at worst) at the most high priority position… this is wild
Yes, you absolutely can but reality is GMs and execs were never high on him, guys like Mel Kiper were and a few pundits hoped on board. Alot of extra hype based on his dad because if his last name was Lewis he would've been a projected 4th Rd.

This team won 3 playoffs games and took a 7-0 lead against an all time roster with fewer picks than Iowa State. IDK to be happy or pessimistic.

The roster’s ceiling is only going up, as most of the elite playmakers and athletes return.

Freeman basically did more, with less (though that’s a crude way of evaluating ND’s pretty good roster against the football factory rosters).

Idk how an ND fan can’t be excited about the future in the current context of everything

Is that why Shilo was graded so high??? Anyway, time will freaking tell. The vitriol on this, which I touched on well before the pick, is stupid. If he sucks he’ll go away,…

What? I think you’re reading into my post stuff that wasn’t there. I was only addressing the idea that he shouldn’t have been drafted today and that it’s a bad pick… all the other stuff you mentioned above has nothing to do with my post or thoughts

My apologies, sincerely

I was posting that while 3 F15s were circling over my house at around 500 feet because Oregon has their spring game today.

My reading comprehension failed because I was pissed and awe struck at the same time

Alright Gabriel over Sanders is a funny bit now lmao

That’s a brutal pick by the Browns, Sanders aside
Gabriel was/is a better player with a much better arm and alot more success...his height is his detriment but the success of other QBs his size helps

lol you were never actually reading my posts so this doesn’t surprise me. I think Shedeur is better than Dart if your goal is to draft a starting QB. I still do. My post was mainly about using a 1st on Dart, which I still think was a bad pick.

If you don’t like Sanders, take Milroe as a project. Dart will be a career backup/journey man.”

Sanders off field stuff is real baggage but I don’t know a single thing on the field Dart does better”

I’m fine with teams passing on Sanders, but doing so for Dart in the first round still is awful.”

Then earlier today: “Once you aren’t drafting Shedeur to be a potential starting QB, there’s really no point in taking him now as a backup”

You were so set on talking **** on Sanders, you never actually really engaged in the real point I was making, which is ironic since that is something Shedeur or Deion would probably do
Sanders is a marginal talent, The Giants chose Dart based on a combination of Dart's athleticism, dual-threat capabilities, and potentially higher developmental ceiling. He throws a lot better back shoulder fades, has a bit of a stronger arm and did much better throwing the ball intermidiately than Sanders. Him being a much better athlete is the icing on the cake, with that said I think my G Men could've gotten Dart a few picks later but they were worried about him being grabbed withing the next couple of picks.

Riley above Ewers is pretty wild to me. Riley was obviously a more effective college player in 2024, but Quinn’s ceiling seems much higher as an actual NFL QB.

Love the Browns pick of Sampson. Think he can be a very good NFL back. Him and Graham are solid picks there.
Did two mock drafts for my Giants picked him in one and Tuten in the other and of course we drafted a guy I can outrun today. Guess we think we're going to be the '85 Bears on defense and just throw to Nabers 15x a game...smh

I think Sanders and Dart probably have close to the same odds to succeed and develop into a franchise guy or thereabout. However both were good enough value where they were taken for both teams to take that shot. Time will tell

Graham Mertz ahead of Ewers. Lol
Ewers always gave me poor man’s Jeff George vibes. Might be a great guy but just comes across as someone who doesn’t really give a shit.

Ewers starting all season over Arch, while also injured will age in a very interesting way. If Arch hits, then you likely threw away a chance at a Natty if you’re Texas starting a hurt UDFA/7th rounder over a potential 1st round pick. If Arch doesn’t hit, Sark’s QB development becomes a serious question.
