I honestly think that lots of people think that tariffs are the US Government somehow collecting extra funds FROM OTHER GOVERNMENTS each time a foreign shipment comes over here. These morons don't understand than WE (whoever are the onshore receivers) have to pay the "extra" cost to the government as an added tax to import the @#% stuff. ... and then it gets complicated as to who actually has to deal with this extra fee ... since costs get passed on, often that "who" would be "me." Bottomline: WE pay.

I know that you guys realize this --- you're not stupid. But even some of the news and political commentary puts out the entirely wrong message here and refuses to talk plainly to the morons about this.
