I was responding as part of a back-and-forth with some people. At least one of whom mentioned me directly. It was perfectly fine and I was obviously directly involved if I was mentioned. I was also simply standing up for a friend during part of that back-and-forth.

If that is injecting myself "into something I was involved in" despite a few posts referencing me....what would you consider yourself? Who came in and took a shot at Merckxe despite you never being mentioned at all and you not being involved in any part of the conversation or even some of the specific posts at issue?

I guess the point is we had people with more knowledge of the program sharing information that all of us were interested in, taking time out of their day to do it. They dont have to and don’t owe it to any of to do so. I dont blame somebody for bouncing if they end up putting up with more shit than they feel like. Would you be a bit more specific in your question here so I can provide a more accurate answer?

Yeah, my bad, I was pretty high.

- A quality recruiter always shows a recruit that he/she always has that recruits back, and he/she is willing to always make that recruit a priority.

- An excellent recruiter knows when to discuss football; when to discuss academics; when to shoot the shit; and, when to simply be a friend a recruit can tell anything to.

- Quality recruiters are part psychiatrists; part psychologists; part friend; part parent; part grandparent; and, occasionally, a babysitter.

These three aspects of a good/quality recruiter all seem to be related to mentorship and leadership/followership skills. Considering those skills can be developed (the extent based on the individual) and I'm wondering if ND provides specific training for coaches/recruiters?

Well, I don't know about you, but in my understanding not everyone who possesses a single negative personality trait is excluded from being a good guy.

That being said, I think the entire board should relax with the harsh words one way or another. It's fine to have disagreements and all, but the name-calling is very High School. None of this is worth the negative emotion being expended.
