Not that it matters much, but ISD's most recent Intel quoted a prospect saying that he can't wait to throw back into Bowden's face what Bowden was selling while at ND now that the same kid is being recruited by USC.

Thinks that Bowden's attempts to troll/neg ND on the trail is going to backfire.

Chad needs to do one more dumb thing to piss the writers off so they can finally unload like they want to.

Probably true. However, I think OSU will definitely be a sell out (b/c of OSU fans) when they visit LA. Meatchicken & PSU may travel well also.

Are players really going to USC because of that dork? I think coaches relationship matter 100% more.

Chad never had an issue with pulling in elite talent early in the cycle. It was closing that he struggled with.

Sure, though in some cases anyway that was also a money issue. USC talks a big talk right now about NIL, though I guess we'll find out how that goes.

Guess he did a recent 45-minute interview for a USC in-house podcast and was full of bravado - Only thing he wouldn't come out as aggressively for is USC winning a Natty in the next year or two, but that he will get them in contention with his recruitment prowess.
"They're calling and asking around, what is going on at USC? And I'm loving every minute of it, because we're coming."
Bring it Chad and USC... Get ready to Bow-down to The Irish on 10/18 tho'

It wasn't about NIL for Taylor (or Deuce while we're at it).

Taylor was about relationships and location. Taylor had a good relationship with O'Leary, then O'Leary left and Michigan hired a guy whom Taylor's dad played with. Then he flipped to Bama because of proximity to home and playing in the SEC.

Deuce, much of the same. Wanted to play close to home and with guys he's played with and established close relationships with via the camp circuit, many of which committed to Auburn.

We'll see what happens when that Texas boy has the Horns and Aggies and even LSU ratcheting up the pressure. Three schools with far better track records for developing DL talent.

Interesting tidbit from ISD power hour today, there was apparently a rumor that Bowden went rogue regarding going after a transfer portal QB at the end of the season which almost caused Carr to transfer. Big part of the reason the Marcus/Chad relationship soured. Mike certainly did not dispel the rumor
