Call to Activism is garbage. Just one of the paid social media influencers to spread propaganda or trash. I mean, I'm sure the AG probably will sue, I'm not holding my breath on a winning case though. Maybe it's the PTSD from hearing how many times they had Trump nailed in the past.

Harry Sisson says this is all organic and not paid. Trump resistance is the only play they know.

That they aren’t showing all of the data collected. Show me where they name the databases and show the tables the data was extracted from
People have gone in and done this work. Most of the tables are publicly available. Identifying information is not. (duh) Most of the work had links to the SS website and screenshots of the tables themselves. A lot of this research was posted on X nearly a week ago. DOGE was making asinine claims about the amount of people actually on SS. The tables from the SS office show that much of that wasn't even possible. Hell, if you don't believe the research, believe Trump's new head of the SS who said Musk was an idiot.

The literal head of the Social Security Office publicly denied the DOGE report. Trump's own appointed head.
Doesn’t matter. Useful idiot Rogan and people on Fox will take Musk’s claims at face value and the rest is history.

Most, not all. Thanks for making my point.

Some of the Social Security findings was bunk. People that were 200 or 300 years old in the system were not receiving benefits.

Spending any amount of time on those instances which can easily be disproved, takes away from a legitimate problem where the Social Security system is certainly paying benefits to dead people.

...You do realize that the reporters then got access to the stuff that wasn't publicly available right? The reporting and coverage of it was really good.

My point in saying most were available is to reinforce that a lot of this stuff isn't spy craft/not hard to track down.

Some of Musk's claims were disproven simply by reading FAQ's on the SS website.

Wonder how many older people pass without family so it's never reported to SS? Also assume there are alot of dirt bags who don't report their parents passing to keep collecting.

This. I am sure AI would be good for this.

From CNN
1 million ignored their bosses and replied. A second email was sent providing some clarity and additional time to respond.

21 staffers resign in a mass protest? lol

Musk email confusion: One million federal workers responded to an email requesting an accounting of their work last week, the White House said Tuesday, as it sought to clarify the parameters of the new personnel directive after conflicting guidance from Elon Musk and agencies about the email sparked confusion. It comes as the White House said the billionaire, who is not a Cabinet member, will attend Trump’s first official Cabinet meeting tomorrow.

Resignations in protest of DOGE: Meanwhile, 21 federal staffers resigned Tuesday in what is being seen as a mass protest against the efforts of the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), according to a source. The employees were technology staffers for the US Digital Service, the agency that became DOGE.

You know that has to be going on. Will be curious to see how many that ends up being. The other component are those receiving benefits that don't really qualify. That's probably a large number.

Anecdotal experience, but I've talked to a couple of attorneys and they both said something along the lines of ..... if you are persistent and keep applying for SS Disability Income, you will eventually get approved.

Obviously someone who is perfectly healthy won't get approved, but my impression that I was left with was that people who had pretty sketchy claims, many would eventually get approved.

Wonder how they will be able to check on people receiving dead family members collecting? And I know they will get billed for the additional SS collected but doubt it will be paid back. And then it will go to collections or a warrant placed? Sounds like they need to hire more people to check on these things.

Will be interesting to see how the crack squad intends on finding these improprieties when we've heard how they can't be expected to get through USAID at the same time as a pretty average CPA firm can LOL.

Also, removing SS from being taxed is a boneheaded move because you're going to remove a layer of oversight on spotting SS cheats because you can easily reconcile the income reported on the tax return to the amount of SS that the government has paid to them. Of course, the guy who's not reading SQL data correctly will be able to spot the fraud without having the assistance of the IRS LOL.

It's funny ol' Harry wasn't important enough to get invited to that meet and greet, or maybe his mommy and daddy wouldn't let him go.

It would be a huge task for sure. The only thing I can think of is comparing all recipients to death certificates. The problem there is those are in a state DB and not in a federal DB or maybe they are?
