Morrison shut down the 4th overall draft pick his soph year... i love Moore too but don't forget what BenMo did his freshman year and then his soph year. Again, through 6 games, BenMo was on track to pass his career high in everything except ints.

Moore shuts down Smith like BenMo did Harrison and we will all be crying like little babies Monday night. Promise that.

ND did not offer him out of high school I just saw on 247. He was highly regarded (got offer from OSU) and not dumb (got Northwestern and Vanderbilt offers) so maybe he just wasn't on the radar.

Once again...We snagged a guy who was great at another position (Tae Johnson,WR) and got him for the job instead of not only Perich but a few others who liked ND but didn't get the interest.

Not sure when his profile picture was taken but when you look at it that kid does not look like he could start for his junior high team let alone as a FR for a team playing in the national championship game!

You could definitely argue we got better at CB when BenMo went down, as crazy as that sounds. He was just that good. All time great freshman season.

I wonder how close the staff was to starting him over Christian Gray. What an insane tandem that would have been.

No way we got better when BenMo went down. Leonard was great, but Gray got picked on way too much. I would have loved to see BenMo and Leonard together.

BenMo wasn't great in the games he played this past season

You're 95% correct. But he 100% played the field side and the slot as well but not enough for me to act like he did both often. For instance, the second to last play of the game at home against OSU (when they led for 59:46) he was field side or in the slot against MHjr

Just went back and looked there were 2 wr field side so he had to be there...oh well, I could have swore he bounced around against MH, Zay and that kid from L'ville ..but maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah he plays field when they are in a 2 receiver set to that side when they don't have anyone to the boundary
