On the transfer portal as a whole not being quality this cycle/leveling out, 2024 had 239 players they deemed 4 star transfers. Of those 239, 161 of them were rated 91or above. Comparing to this cycle, there only have 165 4 stars of which 65 are 91 or above.. Transfer rankings are generally pointless and weigh too heavily towards younger players, but shows that the picking were far slimmer this cycle compared to past ones.

Coogan probably had a real shot at the starting center job over a rehabbing Craig. I wouldn't have been surprised if he left in the spring but I am a little surprised he's leaving now before they even square off.

Every school does some amount of back channeling and tampering but they are extremely brazen with impermissible contact and trying to entice players to truck loads of money. I'm very interested to see if Wisconsin moves forward with their lawsuit against Miami (because everyone knows the NCAA isn't going to do shit).

Being reported today by Ohio State beat people that Oregon has been tampering for months with Carnell Tate and is trying to entice him to enter the portal.

Chance Tucker, Ben Minich, and Gi'Bran Payne.

Tucker was seemingly getting passed up by younger dudes for most of his time here. Minich, was losing snaps to Talich & Urlacher. And Payne, well, it's a loaded RB room, and his third down role was replaced by Aneyeas Williams.
