Just booked the flight & hotel.. Taking my two older boys to the game.

I do think this is a team of destiny.. as cheesy as it sounds. They just keep finding a way to win.

And I know the 2012/13 team was similar in that regard but we match up much better here than we did against that Bama team.

Ohio St is clearly the more star studded group but we are so cohesive & consistent I just think it’ll come down to the wire again & I like our chances with Freeman at the helm.

I just can’t miss the opportunity to be there when ND finally wins another national championship.
Probably the difference between 2012 and this team is the 2012 team needed "team of destiny" magic against Pitt and Purdue while this team had it against Georgia and Penn State. That team was fun but not very good. This team is fun and very good.

Take Braxton Cave, Stephon Tuitt, Louis Nix, and Bennett Jackson off that team (to account for injuries) and how many losses do they have. Even with the greatest defensive player in the last 50 years anchoring them if that team was hit by these injuries they lose 3-4 additional games.

Urbie says OSU in a low-scoring, close game
The quote is below. So I guess he thinks it will be close at half, but pOSU "walks away" in the second half covering the spread

"Ohio State covers the spread," Meyer said. "I think Notre Dame is going to, the defense is going to keep this thing close... I think this is a low-scoring game at halftime, and I think the Buckeyes walk away in the second half."

Dipshit Finebaum was on The Tony Kornheiser Podcast today and shit on our offense.

Keep doubting us. It just adds fuel to the fire.

2012 team was not very good? GAWD.

And for objectors to that response: the main problem that our defense had vs Alabama has been examined over and over, and there is little doubt that with normal time of preparation Alabama could not have so easily been able to predict EXACTLY where every ND defender would be on every offensive line-up. Their center said just that. Diaco had made a mechanical clock of a defense, composed, as Jones said, of very good players, but Diaco's scheme was (with time to figure it) completely predictable down to the spot where every players feet would be located and where they would first flow. THAT allowed complete rushing game control. Nix was totally pissed off at the post-game commentary of know-it-alls, who said that our players got "dominated." He felt that Barton Jones in no way "dominated" him, but the scheme did the damage. Jones' comments essentially agreed that it was "knowledge" that "dominated."

I made comments today to someone saying that if the 2012 team consisted of our coaching staff from this season, that we would've definitely played Bama closer, especially since Golson was a true dual threat QB.

Booked the flight and the hotel. That alone was $2,000.00. I'm not sure I can swing tickets, unfortunately. I'm keeping an eye on them, but they'll have to drastically drop. I just can't afford a $5,000.00+charge for tickets.

That said, we'll be there to take in the experience. I'm hoping to catch a good watch party / sports bar to take in the game should we not be able to score tickets. I just can't pass up on the opportunity to be there. Is anyone else doing the same or are you all going with tickets in hand? Go Irish

Same. Going with no tickets and trying to find a watch party

Like this plan and really wanted to do the same. Didn't work out trying to get a few guys on short notice to go with me. Even without tickets, would be a fun party/ environment to take in. Enjoy.

My whole family did that for the championship game in 2013, and the trip was definitely worth it even with the terrible game. I think that's a great plan, but I will admit there is a difference between Atlanta and South Beach.
