There is grass and then about 3 feet of snow, then more grass, then a four foot drift that my Christmas spot lights are buried under.

This is definitely a “me” problem, but I’m just going into any underclassman’s thread bump at this point assuming it’s a post about an impending transfer.

😂

Junior is going to be fun to watch next season in that vyper role.

I don’t remember seeing him but he played 24 snaps. Don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing because I don’t remember any glaring errors, just surprised he played that many

Would be interesting to see if he was moved to d line. Could be a fast defensive end..I don't see much speed with him at lb. Which I thought at first he could be coming out of high school

There was an article that I linked a week or so ago that said the plan is for him to move to vyper full-time.

I think Golden will get creative Botello has 8-10 sack potential. I could see him sliding to Mills spot and Mills back inside if Justin A stays

Long term I still think he’s a far better MIKE than Edge. Bertrand is just blocking him. I would expect he continues to cross train before returning to MIKE in the end. They just want him on the field for now.

I get it, but I don't really see the benefit of JD getting majority reps at Mike.

At his best in '22, JD was solid. You need better than solid. JD should still be in the rotation, but JD and Kiser need to be on notice. Their starting jobs are up for grabs.

Junior, Prince and Sneed need to be way more involved in '23.

This isn’t the way the staff apparently sees it in the slightest with Bertrand. And I’ll admit I called for the same last offseason and was wrong, Bertrand is definitely the starting MIKE, and that isn’t changing. When you have an established middle linebacker like that, you don’t time share it.

Kiser was 15th in snaps, a good amount of that coming when Bertrand was ejected/hurt. He was a backup/role player already in 2022.

I think he has been better then people give him credit for. He had some bad misses, but has been VERY solid and seems to understand everyones role.

That being said, Golden by all accounts is very high on him.

My viewing of Bertrand was that he showed signs of becoming an elite thumper and play-sniffer. Not sure that I see that YET in any of our other LBs. (I believe that we have a LOT of talent there, but Bertrand seemed to have more Werewolf in him than the others as of now.) I have VERY high hopes for him this coming year. ... but, this is not my side of the ball. If Tuihalamaka is not Mike only because of Bertrand, then he's very good, and get him on the field elsewhere if at all feasible.

Bumping this man's thread
Look at the date of the previous post
TWO YEARS to the day nearly

This kid has been a freaking warrior this season. He may not always finish. He may not always be the prettiest but damn if he hasn't been stepping the F up as a third teamer and playing his ASS OFF

He's legitimately great. To gracefully take the third string designation and then step up when it was needed ever since Traore went down. This is the icing on the cake but he's been applying pressure all year (also really saved us against Miami). He should be an inspiration for guys like Vernon and Houston who are buried at the moment. You never know when your name will be called
