I've been a fan for ages, pre-SNL fiasco. I'm glad our guy is maybe the biggest comedian in the nation now. He earned it (hilarious) and it's good to have a true superfan.

Funny moment from the game last night. The video board cut to Shane and the crowd went wild as he chugged a beer. Think that’s all that was planned. Then cut to two IU fans and loud boos. Back to Shane loud cheers. Back and forth on this a solid 4 more times.

I think Pat and Shane are both performers and were great playing off each other for entertainment value. Pat but the ball on the tee and Shane knocked it out of the park. Pat continually egged on Gillis bc he knew what Gillis would come back with. It was great tv.

Tbf, if most/all of the SEC is giving out cash, I think he's probably 100% truthful in saying hit was his track record that got recruits to go there. The money was already a given.

Saban's donors DID cheat when paying was illegal. All the SEC schools did. The Georgia university president once said WAY back in the 90s or 80s that Georgia could NOT stand up for any academic integrity in football because that decision would be like unilateral disarmament. So Saban is just a liar and everyone on set knew it --- BUT, you don't call that guy out on national TV that way. AWKWARDEST thing ever. I am amazed that it got smoothed over as quickly as it did.

I have no idea what the issue is with calling him out if it's true. I mean yeah I wouldn't have done it but if it's true it's true. Saban prolly could've been more demonstrative denying it but that would've made him look bad too. Once he was called out he was in a no win situation. Nonetheless I like Saban, respect him, and think he does a great job on TV.
