I generally don't care about alternates. It doesn't upset me when we wear them from time to time. It would kind of be lame though for a historic game like this to do something like black unis. Someday people will go back and want to look at the first home playoff game in D1 history and they'd see ND in weird ass uniforms.

I understand and I want to believe this is a different team with a different attitude. I want to believe that they will be different from all the BCS and NY6 let downs of the past. The way I'm looking at it is this, in 10 years when they look back at the first playoff game and show ND (wearing black or whatever) am I going to have the same thoughts as the Bama championship ass whooping they gave us or will I be proud that they came out and erased all doubt.

That's really the thing. It's like you have a date set for a family photo with a bunch of relatives you never see and some great grandparents you know aren't long for this world, and you decide to get a Mohawk the day of.

That's how they did it for the Bama game in '20 I'm pretty sure, and that's also how Nike "specializes" their playoff uniforms.
