Just for the lulz, Brooklyn Dad is a frequent offender.
The problem is there's no consistency and both parties will quickly change their tune for one of their own. It's hard to take anyone serious when they say "Nobody is above the law" and then the second it affects someone on their aisle they quickly change their tune to "well... this wasn't fair for so and so". Any democrat justifying this is a hypocrite, just like any Republican saying Trump was only charged because it was a witch hunt is a hypocrite as well. If people actually cared about justice and righting wrongs they would be all for finding the truth and then holding those accountable, and currently neither side seems capable of doing that.On Facebook since Joe pardoned Hunter, my liberal friends have been steadily posting defenses and explanations of the pardon. "But, but, it's different!" "Any father would do the same!" "Hunter didn't do anything wrong. This has been a political witch hunt because of his dad." And, of course, "But TRUMP did something!!!!" I mentioned the multiple "Nobody is above the law" posts from one of them over the past couple of years and simply asked him how he felt about that now. He had a meltdown and started ranting about Trump. Apparently, they all DO believe some are above the law if they're on their side.
Giving Hunter a blanket pardon going back more than 10 years for crimes he hasn't even been charged with, let alone convicted of, is very concerning. That's not even a pardon, really. That's blanket immunity from any prosecution. No reason to do that other than there is some very bad stuff there he needs immunity from. The fact that Joe promised over & over & over that he wouldn't pardon him, then did is definitely a bad thing. He just straight up lied to us. To right wrongs is fine. To pardon friends for minor offenses or to engage in minor political maneuvering is not so good, but common. This is something else entirely. The problem is there's no consistency and both parties will quickly change their tune for one of their own. I agree with that, it's very troubling and I stated as such. We need more transparency as a whole and we're not getting that from either political partyGiving Hunter a blanket pardon going back more than 10 years for crimes he hasn't even been charged with, let alone convicted of, is very concerning. I agree with your about doing away with pardons but not sure what qualifies as a partisan witch hunt for you? Assuming we're talking about Trump, would you be ok with dropping the new York case and the civil sexual assault case if it meant the the January 6th and classified documents cases went to court? There was enough credible evidence for a grand jury to think so.I think we could do away with the pardons if we could quit with the partisan witch hunts. So many of these things end up going nowhere, and they're all embarrassing to the American people. It's felt like a vicious cycle at this point. Can we not do these investigations behind closed doors, and if said person is found credibly guilty through evidence we can then talk about bringing the charges public? Feels like every rumor is out there immediately and the media runs with it because...that's what they do. So many of these investigations have piled up to be nothing for one reason or another, just a strain on the tax payers and a black eye on American politics over the last decade or so. Lets get back to governing, less identity politics, less bullshit in Washington.
It's too many cases to list at this point really, and what has really come from any of them? I mentioned it before, but punishments don't really happen for those that are at the top, they're immune or insulated from trouble. Only the little guys really get hit, or in the case of Epstein you get whacked if you know too much about the elite.I agree with your about doing away with pardons but not sure what qualifies as a partisan witch hunt for you? Nothing came from them because Trump's team kept delaying them and the plan worked. We deserve to know what happen and have the cases heard. Do you not think think we deserve to know what actually happened and if crimes were committed? It's too many cases to list at this point really, and what has really come from any of them? I should've said relatively minor. Generally it's felonies that people get pardoned for, but I meant they aren't usually getting pardoned for violent crimes and other major felonies like rape, murder, major drug trafficking, and so on.Just following up to facilitate discussion further on this topic. Pardons typically aren't used for minor infractions, unless we have different definitions of minor infractions, the vast majority are for those convicted of felonies, they might not violent crimes, but still felonies.
Hunter is a POS and should be held accountable. But I feel your minimizing the crimes of others to hammer home your point.
You missed the point. When have any of these allegations or investigations amounted to anything? The same is true for Hunter's case. The elite never really get punished. Either the charges were bogus to begin with, or the punishment ends up being a slap on the wrist essentially.Nothing came from them because Trump's team kept delaying them and the plan worked. I understand the point you were making. The allegations and investigations led to a grand jury indictment, we just never got the trial due to constant delays. Would you rather we continue with the status quo of the elite never getting punished or should we try to hold those accountable for their actions irregardless of the social and political status? I'm tired of those with money or status getting away with their actions just because they know the right people and know how to work the system. We have numerous posters on here that have admittedly they all would've faced some kind of repercussions if they took classified documents and then showed them to people without proper clearance. Biden should've have punishment when he did it and it shouldn't have been excused because "he was an old senile man." Why should any politician not be held to the same standard that the rest of us would be held to?You missed the point. When have any of these allegations or investigations amounted to anything? Remove friends and family from the equation and I have no problem with it for the most part. But when presidents pardon friends and family its a bad look all the way around.I should've said relatively minor. Generally it's felonies that people get pardoned for, but I meant they aren't usually getting pardoned for violent crimes and other major felonies like rape, murder, major drug trafficking, and so on.
The justice system in Georgia is questioning that trial and has requested all documentation, notes, etc. because they believe this was a hit job.I understand the point you were making. Obama has went quiet mode since the election. The more I read, the more curious I am about his true goal.Biden is like 'screw all 'yall' at this point. And I don't blame him. He's saving his kid and going into retirement. This isn't spending the weekend in jail for smoking weed. These are federal charges for retaliation for the Trump investigations.
He defeated Trump, was forced out by Obama via Clooney and his replacement lost. Clooney is getting a lot of heat and is pissed that Obama hasn't taken responsibility. He was used and knows it.
Couldn't happen to a better guy.
I agree with your points on the Bidens and have said as such. Georgia case has been questioned due to the relationship between fani and get bf's case. I referred specifically to the classified documents cases as the one we should hear what happened about. The justice system in Georgia is questioning that trial and has requested all documentation, notes, etc. because they believe this was a hit job.
NY came out a month or two ago and said Trumps trial there was a major stretch and should have been held in a civil court as opposed to criminal.
Personally, I don't care that Hunter got a pardon. The issue as has been pointed out, is the very vague and broad blanket of immunity as well as Biden repeating numerous times "No one is above the law" and "I will not pardon him". He's been lying all his life.
What should Donald be in prison for?Hilarious seeing the “witch hunt” bullshit dragged up. Dude was indicted and found guilty, just like Hunter Biden. The other cases went to grand juries I believe who recommend pursuing charges. That’s how these things work.
The “justice system” in Georgia isn’t questioning anything. The current to do has to do with an outside group aligned with Trump that filed a FOIA request because they not surprisingly think that case is a “hit job”.
Trump and Hunter Biden are both objectively lawless scumbags and both should be in prison for the crimes they were found guilty of. It’s not that hard honestly.
I’m sick of seeing all rich and well connected assholes held to a lower standard. Some people seem to be alright with complaining about it but then want to argue about what the definition of “is” is and how a billionaire, convicted felon and former president is somehow a victim in all of this. It’s pathetic honestly.
Lets just start with a clean slate for 2025. Pardons for everyone, living and dead, from the dawn of time till Joe's out of office. After that...no excuses, you're on your own, you've been warned!I don't know what he might come after them for, but I'll pardon them anyway. He doesn't even know who. lol

Biden weighs pre-emptive pardons for potential targets of Trump’s retribution
During the 2024 campaign, Trump made threatening comments about people he said had slighted or wronged him.www.nbcnews.com
At this rate he may actually go down as one of the worst presidents of all time.
