Announcing on Monday per USC on3 but at time of posting they’re staff didn’t know which direction

Not that it works this way- but if the roles were reversed between ND & USC, we would definitely be dooming.

He wants to play for a 6-6 team vs. a playoff team, good luck to ya.

Easy. He saw how bad their LB play was and figured he could start day one!
I mean, this might actually be the case right🤷‍♂️ If I really wanted to stay close to home and go to USC, this is probably what I'd tell myself to justify it.

Still sounds like distance is still the factor.

To me you would have thought he would thought after all of his visits it wouldn’t have taken this long to figure out.

I know some people have gotten cold feet the closer you get to decision time. Still gotta remember these are still just kids..[/QUOTE

We are about to win the Natty and all you complain about is how much our recruiting sucks. You should stop and enjoy this special season
I didnt say recruiting sucks I specifically said WR recruiting is unacceptable if you want to continue to compete for titles, unless you imagine were going to have top 3 defenses annually. Dont know why thats hard to comprehend, i'd say im enjoying this season more than most, i've attended 4 games so far this season and will certainly be in the building for the playoffs.

It makes you appreciate our 18 and even 17(Marines)year olds who enlist in the military. They are MEN by 19.
I get what you mean, but no. They're just kids who were willing/had to make a tough decision and the balls to deal with some shit. An inner city 14 year old joining a gang is much the same way.

At the end of the day, these KIDS still make a fuck-ton of childish bad decisions.

Also, I support, appreciate and admire those who choose to enlist in our armed forces and sacrifice to defend our freedom.

Guessing the Wednesday flip is a underwhelming LB at another school then. Really rough finish to this class for the staff. Missed on just about 100% of the big fish what the last 6 months?

Recruiting efforts to end seems to be non existence with closing out the 25 class

2025 Recruiting has been a borderline failure from the summer until now, with respect to who was on the board.

I'm baffled by this because II said Freeman told them something along the lines of they want to be a program that was all about recruiting. I assumed that meant that they would get with the times and start offering big bags to top-tier prospects. If that's not going to happen, then you'd expect them to go all-in on the portal at positions of need. But then they apparently made little to no effort to get Caleb Downs, given what was reported, when he hit the portal. Unlike with kids who are 2-3 years out of HS, ND supposedly doesn't have a difficult time getting kids who are just 1 year out of HS through admissions. They need to pick a lane. Either consistently drop big bags for elite prospects, or go all-in at positions of need in the portal, including stud true freshman and not just players with only 1 year left of eligibility.
