Anyone got advice for buying a ticket to the ND home playoff game? Will be driving up solo from southern Indiana.
No, but same! Are we thinkin they'll announce matchups and release tickets immediately after conference championships are over, march madness style?

Hoping i won't need to sell a kidney to afford a ticket on the secondary market.

Alabama 100% needs to be shut out of the playoffs in my opinion. They don’t deserve to be in over South Carolina much less 11-1 SMU (if they stub their toe against Clemson).
There will be a lot of pressure for the committee to preserve the CCG’s by not turning them into a handicap. I would be surprised if any team in position for an at large on Tuesday slips out a week later due to a loss.

And I would agree. So long as it isn't a team's 3rd/4th loss.

I understand this, BUT

If the win counts as a full win for the winners, then the loss has to count as a full loss for the losers.

0 degree weather -10 windchill seems just about right.

I would also accept high 20's low 30's and white out conditions.
Although, while we think it benefits us, I’m not sure how much. We have guys on our team from FL, CA, HI, and some freshman that have never seen snow before. But it’s still fun.

The committee was more than willing to use everything to rid Fla State of their bid last year in order to get Bama in. A shame if they do it again.

This is true, but they have been in South Bend for months-years and have experienced the weather change. They'll get a few more weeks to get better acclimated.

Southern teams will get a couple days at most to get ready.

But the committee has said that they won’t penalize a team for losing in the CCG. We’ll see how they handle that next week

I think they said they wouldn’t overly penalize a team. But it’s not a free play.
If Penn State gets blown off the field next week it’s hard to imagine that has no bearing on how the committee views them re: seeding.
It should, as they’ll have to play elite teams like Oregon in the playoffs.

Up to #2!! in FPI. Man who would have thought lol.

Weren't "punished" for a close game against SC because FPI has them at 18 - aka they are serial chokers with talent.

ESPN has 13 “experts “ with their picks for the 12 spots up this AM. Most have ND either 5 or 6 with a couple at 7 with Texas losing to Ga and being 5th.
All over the map as to who we’d play with some bumping Boise out of 4 for Az St.
Funny thing is only one has Bama in with 4 picking Miami and the rest picking South Carolina!
So are they a proxy for the committee or just a bunch of dingbats who don’t know shit? No clue but we’ll know Tuesday the pecking order for Miami vs Bama vs South Carolina and that shouldn’t change the following week.

And IF Oregon hoses P$U big time, surely their overrated asses will go below an 11-1 Irish team. That would offset a UGA win and Texas sliding down right in front of ND.

This is the week ND jumps Penn St. I think the move is justified plus it protects the committee in the event of a Penn St loss in the Big 10 champ. The committee won't have to justify PSU dropping behind ND after a loss, because ND is already ranked ahead.

Additionally, the margin between ND and PSU is small, whereas the margin between ND/Penn St and Georgia/Tenn is larger. Penn St can comfortably stay ahead of those teams with an L to Oregon.

Somehow we are 9th in SP+ but #1 in Sargarin and #2 in FPI. Really getting weighed down by our Special Teams rating.

So ND is locked into a 1st round home playoff game but seeding is still very much up in the air. They could get anywhere between 5-7 seed still. If both Oregon and Texas win the conf Champs, ND will be the 5. If one of them loses, I think ND will be the 6. If both of them lose, ND could drop to the 7.

I think you're right. In fact, we'd already be ahead of PSU in the AP poll if it wasn't for some joker who has us 10th. He is a sportswriter from NJ who presumably is not on the committee.
