i remember when some members of this board were mocking the WSU coach that got fired for refusing the shot, pointing out his hypocrisy for claiming a religious exemption. the only reason he tried a religious exemption was because society didn't allow someone to refuse the shot based on logic, data, or personal reasons.

shame the shots provided nearly zero value to people under 55.

Naturally immune people were still forced to get the shot. That defies all science surrounding immunology and IMO is straight up criminal. Any doctors behind vaccine REQUIREMENTS for the naturally immune should have their licenses revoked. I feel the same for requiring them for healthy children but can at least acknowledge there was a better case for it even if I think that case was raw BS.

Anyone see anything about that Senate race in Pennsylvania where Democrats have been counting illegal ballots? Their Supreme Court ruled that ballots that aren't dated or aren't formally signed should be excluded, but Democrats have began counting them anyway. Now they've triggered a recount because the final total was within 1%. Kinda messed up.

Pennsylvania's state Supreme Court on Monday weighed in on a flashpoint amid ongoing vote counting in the U.S. Senate election between Democratic Sen. Bob Casey and Republican David McCormick, ordering counties not to count mail-in ballots that lack a correct handwritten date on the return envelope.

I saw that a House seat in California JUST flipped today too as the Democrat challenger went ahead by 36 votes. How are they still counting two weeks later? Steele was leading Tran by 11,000 votes two days after the election, but two weeks later they're counting mail in and provisional ballots still. There's been some wild shifts in the number of voters in that district from year to year too. There's no reason some districts should still be counting when most of the country was done over a week ago. Just seems shady, especially in states with looser election laws.

No. Recess appointments are stupid in a modern era.This isn't part time lawmakers in a horse driven society. I'd argue for changing the law except there are strange unthinkable situations where it might be necessary.

Each and every selection should go through the Senate. Anyone suggesting otherwise is being silly. The Senate has a role in this. Asking for rubber stamps is akin to making the Senate a bunch of cuckolds sitting in the corner chair of a hotel room.

I don't think there should be recess appointments. My post was in reference to Mitch standing in a stupor, barely able to answer questions. Maybe his decline is more physical than mental, but the demands of his position require someone that is capable of handing the physical and mental aspects of the job.

I don't know how this is even controversial. Republicans have a Senate majority and it is also notoriously easy to get across-the-aisle support for qualified candidates. If you can't get the votes, there is something very wrong with the person you nominated, and you should nominate someone better.

I think they should have to pass the Senate as well. But if they start denying trumps people, I mean a lot of them I’ll rethink it. Then it becomes the establishment wanting to force Trump to fill the executive with their people.

That's by design though. The legislative branch is the most powerful. There is not a single pick Trump has named who is uniquely capable of carrying out his edicts.
